Role expectation:


This role is primarily responsible for consulting in the area of Operations and Process Excellence at the client site. This will be a client interfacing role and would require the candidate to possess excellent client management skills.


This role entails driving high caliber cross functional process excellence projects for various clients. It requires that the candidate is able to travel to the client sites primarily in the US (with the possibility of traveling to other countries) for extended periods of time.


Brief Job Description:


Program management


Help identify and prioritize key business opportunities for clients
Drive program level initiatives across sites or business units at client site
Establish sound communication protocols at all levels
Create and maintain program level plans
Identify, monitor and help in mitigating potential business risks and identified issues
Identify resource requirements with support from business partners
Estimate financial impact and monitor program cost
Forecast program performance and estimate variance to completion

Process improvement


Ensure adherence to Lean and Six Sigma guidelines
Establish an hypotheses driven approach for solving business problems
Critically analyze data / info using statistical and non-statistical methods
Play a lead role in analyzing issues and defining pragmatic solutions
Coach and train (as needed) project team members on various aspects of Lean and Six Sigma
Prepare effective presentations for communicating key project undertakings and success story
Research latest trends / practices that could be applied in current project and share with appropriate stakeholders
Establish effective Change Control procedures for seamless integration

Client management


Develop and manage positive client relationships at all levels
Effective stakeholder management skills and ability to manage difficult conversations
Solicit feedback from clients and develop action points to address concerns (if any)
Support development and execution of an account management plan

Opportunity identification and business development support


Understand and relate to various service offerings that EXL has to offer
Identify opportunities at client sites where EXL could support in meeting client’s business objectives
Discuss identified opportunities with select EXL resources and support in developing a proposal
Help present proposal to client

Qualifications:


Educational background


Masters Degree in Business Management (preferred specialization in Operations, Supply Chain Management or Finance) with 3 years of relevant experience or
Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering or Finance or Business Management) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience

Lean Six Sigma experience


Certified or trained Six Sigma Black Belt from Accredited University or other renowned vendor
Certified or trained Lean Expert (or equivalent) from Accredited University or other renowned vendor

Applied knowledge of statistics


Commonly used distributions in service industry (such as Normal, Poisson, Binomial, Hypergeometric, Exponential)
Parametric (t-tests, ANOVA) and non-parametric hypotheses (such as Mood’s Median, Kruskal-Wallis) tests
Control charts (such as x-bar/R/S, c-chart, u-chart, p-chart, np-chart)
Regression analysis (such as Simple Linear, Multiple, Logistic)
Time-series analysis (such as EWMA charts)

Proficient in following software


Minitab and / or JMP
MS Project
MS Visio
MS Office Suite
SAS (added advantage)
Crystal Ball (added advantage) or other Monte-Carlo simulation software
