Job Description:

Synergis has an immediate opening for an Instructional Designer in Atlanta, GA! This is a minimum of a six month contract position with a dynamic industry leader that offers a competitive rate and excellent work environment! Candidates must be able to interview immediately and start with short notice!

PRINCIPLE PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Instructional Designer will work with the business content experts to design and develop training material to include printed role based training manuals, job aids, policies and procedures, work flows, and supporting presentations for instructor led training.  Additionally, this role will develop web based modules as appropriate for the delivery of business content.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities
Design and develop business content into training material and/or web based modules
Works with subject matter/business content experts across multiple departments to document content for training material
Support training materials using company styles, standards, and development tools
Ensure that all information is consistent, easy to understand, and well organized
Proofread and edit own work and work of others to improve quality, readability, consistency, and effectiveness of documentation
Develop, organize and maintain a central repository for training materials (by department, job responsibility) as well as keep up to date, printer ready versions of all training materials
Other Related Responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS:
Works with a sense of urgency
Demonstrated familiarity with Instructional Design and Courseware Development principles
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately
Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
High attention to detail
Ability to prioritize, schedule and meet deadlines
Ability to work within a Matrix organization
Work both independently and within a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team
Proficient with Visio, Adobe, Articulate, Snag It, Go to Meeting, Pinnacle Studio, highly preferred

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Instructional Design or related field (or higher) preferred (or equivalent experience)
5 years of experience as an Instructional Designer
