A prestigious Microsoft Gold Partner, providing technology solutions to a variety of clients, is seeking a Senior Windows Support Engineer.

Job Description:

The focus of a Windows Systems Engineer/Server Administrator is the design, installation, configuration, and administration of Windows systems, Servers and infrastructure. The person in this role should have a detailed understanding of multiple Microsoft server technologies and be able lead troubleshooting, configuration and administrative efforts on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities may include:
Support for issues entered in the Help Desk ticketing system including server and infrastructure support
Monitoring and administering Active Directory, domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, backup operations, patching/software deployment, antivirus and application Servers such as SharePoint, Exchange, Lync, and other systems
Server life cycle management including server deployment, inventory/asset tracking, hardware refresh/break-fix and system disposal
Maintaining Windows server team operational procedures and documentation (patch management, backup operations, antivirus, change management)
Ability to plan for infrastructure and operational changes such as server and infrastructure upgrades
Ability to work within an incident management system, to update tickets, to report back on incident status and metrics

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

3-5 years of experience in providing Level 2/Level3 operations support for a Windows based infrastructure
Work in environments supporting 30 or more Windows Servers and a minimum of 300 users
Detail oriented with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Excellent customer service and communications skills in order to quickly and effectively troubleshoot/resolve issues
Knowledge of Help Desk ticketing systems (Remedy, etc.)
Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Administration tools (AD Users and Computers, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Sites and Services)
Understanding of networking and troubleshooting including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
Hyper-V and or VMWare support experience
Knowledge of WSUS/SCCM and Patch Management
Support of Office 365 or its' components (Exchange, Lync, SharePoint)
Backup operations experience (Symantec, Veritas, Legato, CommVault, etc.)
Antivirus operations experience (Symantec, Trend, Forefront, etc.)
Experience working with remote teams (onshore or offshore)
Preferred Requirements:
MCTIP:EA certification
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Knowledge of ITIL and/or MOF operational processes
Application developer support experience (IIS, SQL Server)
Knowledge of SCOM and SCVMM
SQL DBA support
Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop support experience
Firewall support experience
Data center support and operations experience
Application developer support experience
Knowledge of SCCM and zero/light touch Windows desktop deployment
