BP Retail is currently going through a nationwide transformation as we continue to integrate our partner brand, Marks and Spencer Simply Food into an increasing number of our forecourts. 


As a BP Retail Duty Manager, you’ll be managing all aspects of the fresh food operation within our Marks and Spencer Simply Food store.  This is likely to be your first step into a management role and you will be given exposure to some of the more administrative processes involved in running a successful store.  Full training will be provided to help you to develop into a strong leader and coach as you manage a team of customer service administrators.      


You will personally handle deliveries, ensure stock levels are maintained as well as ensuring the store operates safely in accordance with health and safety, food safety and compliance policies and procedures.  Above all, you will ensure customer service is second to none, providing a friendly and helpful shopping experience for every customer.   


If you are looking to progress into a more senior management position, you will work closely with the store manager to agree your training and development needs to help you achieve your goals.

The Person


Supervisory experience would be advantageous although not essential however you will need to have demonstrable retail experience – preferably within food retail although again, this is not essential.   You’ll be commercially aware with a strong focus on improving the customer experience within stores.  You’ll be able to demonstrate the ability to develop and become an inspirational leader, developing your team to their full potential and you’ll possess a clear and open communication and leadership style.
