Duties:
The Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics is seeking an exceptional individual with extensive leadership experience in primary care and a background in mental health and addictions. The Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics is a Veterans Administration Health Care Facility providing primary health care and mental health services to over 17,000 veteran outpatients and approx 500 residents. The facility employs approx 700 personnel. The Chief of Staff may be a psychiatrist with a background in addictions or a general medical provider with experience in addictions. Excellence, creativity and innovation are hallmarks of this institution. The ideal candidate would have a strong record of successes and be able to lead using data driven solutions and quality improvement processes. The Chief of Staff works in partnership with the Director, Associate Director, and Associate Director for Patient Care Services / Nurse Executive to lead a variety of Clinical Medical Center service line professionals in development of institutional missions, strategic plans, systems redesign and daily operations. The Chief of Staff also provides leadership in facilitating the integration of health care for veterans within the VA. White City VA SORCC: 600 residential rehabilitation beds and a Primary Care/Mental Health outpatient department. Excellent support services are available to include adjunct services for the patient in psychiatric care, substance abuse treatment, evidenced based psychotherapy, and residential treatment.
Inpatients: 84% from VISN 20, northern-most VISN 21 and Nevada; 16% from all over the United States
Outpatients: Southern Oregon in general. Namely Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, and Lake Counties though additional veterans receive care at White City from Siskiyou, Del Norte and other counties in Northern California. The outpatient Service Area includes well over 40,000 veterans.
VA SORCC emphasizes rehabilitation as it provides safe residential rehabilitative care to resident inpatients and accessible primary and mental health care to our outpatients. Ă‚Â
