Role & Responsibilities


The Human Resources Coordinator will provide support to the Human Resources manager to execute all human resources and benefit functions.


Specific Responsibilities


HR Practice


· Provide administrative support and other assistance to the HR Manager


· Accurately enter and periodically perform independent audits of information in HRIS;


· Assist in the collection of key HR metrics including identifying, analyzing, and reporting data, bringing to the attention trends in findings to the Manager of the department


· Schedule human resource orientation meetings in a timely manner, ensuring that newly hired employees, recruitment, and hiring managers are aware of schedules in advance of the first day of employment;


· Provide benefits orientation programs for new domestic and international employees; and


· Maintain employee and HR paper and soft copy records in line with data protection guidelines.


Benefits Management


· Work closely with HR Manager, vendors and brokers to conduct periodic evaluations of current benefit plan offerings, identify cost saving opportunities and efficiencies as well as support annual evaluation of plans for open enrollment purposes;


· Process COBRA through our third party benefits administrator;


· Troubleshoot issues arising during the course of benefits program administration for domestic and expatriate staff;


· Communicate benefit changes to payroll in a timely, detailed, and accurate manner;


Qualifications


· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required; PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or relevant HR certification preferred.


· 2 years minimum overall experience to qualify for human resources coordinator


· Former work history effectively carrying out HR related tasks requiring a high level of attention to detail as demonstrated through: compiling spreadsheets in Excel; entering or changing information within an HRIS system; and/or accurately processing new hires or changes to existing employee data desired.


· Experience in a dynamic, international government contracting firm preferred


· Prior experience with benefit administration preferred


· Above average written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated through a successful work history of collaborating with HR peers, domestic co-workers, and/or international field offices to accurately relay HR related information desired.


· Fluency in English is required; secondary language ability preferred but not required.


· Experience in international development, USG government contracting, or an international sector strongly preferred.


· Legal ability to live and work in the United States is required.
