****General Functions:****


Under the direct supervision of the IT Officer, the incumbent will provide IT support services to users in North America offices. Incumbent will also provide installation, maintenance and troubleshooting services for IT system and services hosted in North America offices.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist senior IT Assistant and IT Officer in maintaining, procuring, documenting and inventorying of IT hardware equipment and software.

  • Work in second shift when required to support users in West coast offices in their time zone.

  • Maintain logs and archives of IT related information like computer logs, troubleshooting tickets, directories, website publications, registries, data warehouses, reports, etc.;

  • Assist senior IT Assistant and IT Officer in the deployment/dissemination of standard material, such as, computer hardware and/or software, applications, programs, directories, telephony, web content, publications, database content, training material, etc.;

  • Assist senior IT Assistant and IT Officer in the maintenance of systems and equipment by carrying out routine tasks, such as backing up data, monitoring network and systems, servers and peripherals, running systems diagnostics, patch management and system optimization, removing viruses and bad data, etc.;

  • Assist senior IT Assistant and IT Officer Administer in user access to systems and databases, monitor system and application usage;

  • Assist in resolution of problems by monitoring inboxes and responding to queries, identifying and forwarding issues to the appropriate person;

  • Assist in training and support of users of technology and systems, such as audio and video conferences, meetings, databases, registries, networks and other systems and services

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

****Desirable qualifications and experience:****


Secondary School Diploma and at least 4 years of professional experience


required. Industry certifications as MSTS or MCITP, CompTIA, CCNA or ITIL


would be a distinctive advantage.


Proven ability to work harmoniously with a team in a diverse, multicultural


environment.


Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks


simultaneously under time constrains. Ability to maintain high performance


standards with attention to details.


Proven experience on end user technical support including Microsoft Windows


Client and Microsoft Office Support.

Knowledge of other languages would be an advantage
