Attendance Coordinator (Uplift Infinity) - Uplift Education - Irving, TX

SUMMARY

Under general supervision, in a school, responsible for the maintenance of all attendance records and the preparation of related reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively utilize district technologies appropriate to the position and assumes responsibility for attending district training needed to successfully perform designated responsibilities as directed by supervisor. Maintain regular attendance Maintain attendance records and coordinates the receipt, checking and recording of student attendance ad the preparation of daily list of absentees Verify absences by phoning parents Post attendance to permanent ledgers Comply with State law and charter policies and regulations Prepare monthly child accounting, statistical, and enrollment reports Prepare reports on special students Collect, compile, compute and verify student daily attendance reports Prepare and distribute correspondence regarding excessive student absences May prepare enrollment and attendance related reports that contain sensitive and confidential information May issue admits, early dismissal, study hall and other types of forms to students Performs a variety of clerical duties and functions related to student enrollment and attendance Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and public agencies in support of the attendance program.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not supervise other employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position preferred or 2 years general clerical and typing experience plus one year experience in a closely related area. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Spanish speaking, a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions in written or oral form. Ability to set priorities. Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, students, and parents.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to use basic office equipment. The ability to learn and use other software as necessary.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Criminal records check, pre-hire and annually thereafter, if applicable. Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide work authorization.

Work at a desk and computer screen for extended periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The environment requires close proximity to other employees, frequent interruptions, extended periods of time viewing a computer screen, and noise levels from moderate to high. There may be activity from other employees and students of a distracting nature.
