Serves as a Security Specialist at the GG-11 level and coordinates, or perform complex functions and tasks involving the development, evaluation, implementation, or execution of security programs. Operates as a part of a team of personnel security. This position is located at Headquarters, U.S Marine Corps; Intelligence Department; Special Security Office in Arlington, VA
KEY REQUIREMENTS
You must be a US Citizen. Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal & Regulatory Guidance. Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance. This position is a Drug Testing Designated Position (TDP). May be required to successfully complete a polygraph examination.
DUTIES:

· Provide "one-stop service" for all access issues related to S ensitive compartmented information compartmented programs in accordance with Intelligence Community policies, reflective of guidance from higher echelons to include ODNI, DoD, DCI, Navy and Marine Corps.

· Process S ensitive compartmented information positions and eligibility requests including those for senior personnel; responsible for transfer/receipt of security clearance certifications. Knowledge of S ensitive compartmented information facility accreditation policy and procedures.

· Provide inventory, controlling, transmitting, transporting, packaging, safeguarding, and accounting for S ensitive compartmented information classified material.

· Assist in the investigation of S ensitive compartmented information security infractions and preparation of required reports.

· Ensure all physical, personnel, and information system security measures are enforced in accordance with S ensitive compartmented information policy and performs other security related duties as directed by the Special Security Officer or the HQMC Special Security Specialist.

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG/GS-09 grade level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1 ) Manage S ensitive compartmented information security programs to meet the needs of the organization ; 2)Provide advice and assistance on special security functions; 3) Ensure all physical, personnel and information systems security measure are enforced in accordance with sensitive compartmented information policy; 4) Identify and solve highly sensitive security issues; 5) Provide service for all access issues related to sensitive compartmented information .

I have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or an LL.M, directly related to the knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position.

REQUIREMENTS:

All qualifications requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume.

Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.

All new DCIPS employees must successfully complete a two-year trial period.

Selectee must complete a Special Background investigation and receive a favorable adjudication by a determining authority.

A Top Secret security clearance is a requirement of this position and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to obtain and maintain this required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal.
