Partner Business Evangelism Director - US DX Azure Team

Cloud Computing is the next step toward ubiquitous and pervasive computing for the world.   Microsoft Azure is our cloud computing platform used to build, host, and scale web applications and is a strategic focus for the company.   The Developer Experience (DX) group within Microsoft has the mission to engage with organizations to accelerate the adoption of Microsoft technology by enabling the development of applications and services on the Microsoft platform. The Partner & Technical Evangelism (PTE) team in the US DX organization leads our business development efforts focused on recruiting key cloud services vendors (CSV) to develop their applications on our cloud platform.  

The US DX team is looking for a Partner Business Evangelism (PBE) Director who demonstrates exceptional leadership and management skills with a combination of business development and technical expertise.   As a leader on the PTE Team focused on Azure, you will be responsible for driving your team to identify and close new Azure CSV accounts in the US.   You will guide your team to work closely with the broader Microsoft sales teams to engage our CSV partners and drive strong revenue growth.   You and your team will help partners build out their Azure practice by providing leadership to our organizations in identifying opportunities that will leverage the cloud and bringing Azure applications into production.  

In this role, you would be responsible for:

  Recruiting, hiring, and retaining strong talent to build out your team

  Managing a high performing team and driving deployment of high quality and top revenue generating accounts

  Securing targeted accounts in the coverage area

  Delivering on revenue targets

  Ongoing evangelism of Microsoft Azure and future service roadmaps

  Exceptional opportunity pipeline management with accurate forecasting represented at bi-weekly pipeline reviews

  Creating Azure opportunity development plans compatible with overall Microsoft account management strategies

  Accurately representing your business at executive business reviews

  Delivering ongoing market and competitive insights to the business group

  Developing a comprehensive training and readiness plan for your team

The ideal candidate will have:

  Minimum of 7 years of experience in Enterprise business development, software consulting or solution development

  Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging trends

  Strong knowledge of Software as a Service business model and implementation strategies

  Exceptional leadership skills and community building

  Proven record of growing new businesses and building technical relationships with senior executives

  Results driven; strong analytical skills with exceptional verbal and written communication

  Exceptional decision-making, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and follow through

  BS/BA degree, MBA preferred

This individual will need to demonstrate success in developing growth strategies and transforming them into execution.   This position also involves a large amount of exposure to senior management and requires the ability to communicate concisely and consistently.
