Sr. PR Manager

Summary

The senior PR manager for Microsoft Band and Microsoft Health is responsible for owning communications plan development and execution against activities related to Microsoft Band and Microsoft Health. This would include depth media engagement, telling a broad cross-audience story around the key differentiators associated with the Microsoft Band and the value of the Microsoft Health platform. The role will require gaining a deep technical understanding of the product and developing core communications materials. This role will be responsible for fostering a close partnership with the product marketing and engineering teams, as well as partnering and developing materials that can be used in partnership with local subsidiaries. In the event of a product crisis, this person will be responsible for driving a response plan, partnering closely with engineering, legal and marketing teams.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  Develops and executes against communications plan of record for Microsoft Band & Microsoft Health

  Drafts press releases, blog posts, product messaging, reactive statements and advisories

  Delivers toolkits/assets for launch and sustenance to support in-country communications

  Oversees PR event planning and logistics related to Microsoft Band & Microsoft Health

  Develops crisis communications plans as needed

  Partners closely with marketing and engineering in communications development and plan execution

Qualifications

  Strong writing, communications planning and storytelling skills

  Technical expertise and the ability to conduct product demos

  Ability to influence under stressful situations and rapid deadlines

  Event management expertise
