SENIOR IT/OPS PROGRAM MGR

The Microsoft Operations Center is building the next generation of operational capability for hyper-scale. To enable the kind of growth and complexity we encounter and need to handle, we embed effective continuous service improvement, program management and business intelligence into the core of our operations, leveraging Big Data, SQL and a combination of tools and processes to ensure service delivery that is measurable, repeatable and consistent. Roles and Responsibilities

Building, developing and enhancing existing and new tools and business intelligence data specs and requirements.

Actively engaging with tools and business intelligence teams across the organization to ensure requirements are accepted and tooling is developed in accordance with these.

Owning and driving monitoring and tooling for the MOC operations organization including 3rd party monitoring like Keynote and Gomez.

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of experience with program management, operations management or technical leadership in operations or engineering for online services, service providers or telecommunications providers

1+ years of experience in SQL Server, Business Intelligence or Datawarehousing

Preferred Qualifications

4+ years of experience with program management, operations management or technical leadership in operations or engineering for online services, service providers or telecommunications providers

2+ years of experience in SQL Server, Business Intelligence or Datawarehousing

Past experience with 3rd party monitoring including Keynote, Gomez, etc is strongly preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related discipline or equivalent work experience

Knowledge of SQL, Excel and basic data manipulations
