Brief Outline:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a business development manager to join a leading foundation solutions provider offering the full package to their customers from the design, supply and installation. The role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to build new customer relationships and maintain the strength of existing client relationships which will ultimately help with the growth of the business


About the Client:


Established for around 15 years, my client is a proven leader in the design, supply and installation of a variety of piles and steel foundations. Turnover currently sits around £8m however my client are looking to increase turnover considerably year on year. They offer foundation solutions within all industry sectors including road, rail, energy, environmental and civil engineering


About the Role:


* Build key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions
* Establish personal contact and rapport with top decision-makers in the energy sector. Plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company, continually improving relationships
* Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/principals
* Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information
* Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs
* Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
* Develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in the energy sector by collaborating with the business development director and commercial director to improve market share in the energy sector


About the Candidate:


* Proven track record in sales, business development and winning new business, increasing revenue through generation of leads
* Phone/ personal skills in a confident and professional manner
* Proficient in microsoft office applications and outlook
* Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Full driving license is essential
