We Are SSG

Since 2003, SSG has offered motivated Recruiters a free business launch and a fantastic on-going business support facility in exchange for a decreasing percentage of the on-going billings of the new business. No fixed costs, no money up front, no surprises.

We have launched over 200 Recruitment businesses & 12 years on, we continue to support well in excess of 100 of those businesses.

Your Opportunity

Working closely with the existing design and support team, you will be actively involved in both sides of our business (i.e. both the launch and on-going support aspects).

Over the years we have developed a brilliant process driven methodology to launch and support all of these recruitment businesses but the real skill is the caring, personal and thoughtful way in which we do it.

Anyone can follow a process but very few can deliver that process in the way in which we want it delivered! Warm, cuddly, friendly but professional, determined and on time!

In a nutshell.

You will:

- Be responsible for the day to day IT support and general infrastructure maintenance.
- Support hardware and software maintenance along with training and consultation.
- Make recommendations about future planning and development of resources.

Your day-to-day work will revolve around:

Providing telephone, email and remote IT support to our current client base of around 125 recruitment businesses.
Offering IT guidance, advice and information to our clients ensuring continuous high quality support.
Resolving queries in a timely manner by managing and prioritising queries and requests.
Providing in-house IT support for our existing team.
Reviewing our current systems, processes and procedures and recommending improvements.

So, who are you?

Obviously, an extraordinary job requires an extraordinary candidate a superstar, if you will. That superstar will be able to demonstrate skills/experience/characteristics in the following areas:

Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Have knowledge and experience of Windows XP/Windows 7/Windows 8 and Microsoft Office (2003 2013 and 365).
Demonstrate a strong ethos in customer service.
Pay excellent attention to detail.
Have the ability to multi-task under pressure whilst maintaining a calm, professional, customer-focused attitude.
Maintain a good understanding of IMAP, POP and exchange mailboxes, Microsoft Outlook (2003 2013), spam and other common email-related issues.
Be able to confidently troubleshoot basic PC/laptop queries such as non-start, running slow, viruses and so on.
Be confident recommending new devices, for example, printers, copiers and so on.
Have an understanding of domain/email hosting, setting up email accounts and forwarding.
Be confident advising our clients on data back-ups including cloud storage and USB devices.
A genuine interest and enthusiasm for technology, gadgets and all things computer.

You should be an organised, pro-active individual who demonstrates a positive, “can-do” attitude and is used to multi-tasking. You should be an excellent communicator who can be flexible and thrives in a challenging environment. Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines, able to take direction and work closely with team members.

Many of the queries you deal with will be related to email (IMAP, POP, exchange mailboxes, Microsoft Outlook and so on) and multi-device communications, but you should also expect to troubleshoot PC/Laptop issues; remotely maintain and configure other devices such as printers, copiers and so on; advise and assist with anti-virus scans and recommend appropriate protection; advise and assist with backup management; and answer queries on Microsoft Office (2003 to 2013), MS 365, Windows (XP, 7 and 8) and so on.
