Cheese Utility Operator job - Tillamook - Boardman, OR

Provides entry level work in production departments within the plant in both cheese and cold storage. Responsible for keeping the plant areas in a safe, sanitary and efficient working order. This position provides work coverage for Tower Operators when needed for absences, training, and other job assignments.

  • Assists in the setup, cleaning, and operation of the towers, sealers, and boxers.

  • Maintain a clean work area and follows GMP standards.

  • Ability to understand NAV and use interface.

  • Assist maintenance in troubleshooting problems with equipment.

  • Maintain the general housekeeping according to the Make Room MSS.

  • Other duties that may be assigned by supervisor/lead during the course of the day.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED;

  • Manufacturing work experience desired

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Must be a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the company.

Physical Requirements:

  • Pre-work physical exam is required.

  • Must be available for various shifts and days.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand entire shift.

Full-time position; Excellent benefit package; Starting wage $14.43 hour; Shift differential for swing and graveyard shifts.
