IT/Operations Program Manager, Senior

?We are looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager to help us scale our technology platform during a period of rapid growth, grow our team, and implement processes and procedures to run a world-class, global infrastructure supporting an innovative, high performance customer experience platform.   This is a great opportunity for a seasoned technology leader to make a huge impact and help build a global infrastructure platform to support Azure-AutoPilot deployments.

The Senior Program Manager will work in the Delivery & Engagement group leading the global delivery of IT infrastructure and support both internal business teams and our mission critical customer facing systems for Azure - AutoPilot deployments.   This person will be responsible for the end to end deployment lifecycle to meet the operational expectations of the business and ensure adherence to all strategies and core priorities; including the ability to: Deliver AutoPilot Deployments On Time, Defect Free.   This role will cultivate strategic relationships, that have no global boundaries, and the individual will leverage their specialized knowledge and expertise in infrastructure project management.      

Roles and Responsibilities:

??The person in this role will clearly understand the scope of the stated ecosystem and build the appropriate balance between quality and quantity, via capacity management.   This will involve coordinating activities and taking corrective actions as necessary to meet the availability and service objective of our business.   This role will build a solid partnership with the GFS and Engineering Group counterparts to meet/exceed business outcomes while driving execution at all levels, and across all segments, within the deployment lifecycle.   Success in this role is defined by the ability to delivery capacity right time, right place to meet business objectives while successfully capitalizing on new deployment types in a rapidly changing Cloud environment.

Position Scope:

This role is responsible for driving global GFS deployment initiatives at the MS Headquarters level.   Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of Industry trends, issues and opportunities and develops and demonstrates impactful solutions to address the business demand for capacity.

Decision Making:

This role makes strategic and execution decisions to help identify, onboard and overall, accelerate at scale the Cloud transformation across different operating models to improve our position in front of our customers and to lead the industry against our competitors.   It is imperative for our success to work with the right quality and quantity to support the growth of our business in the short and long term.  

This role understands the customers economic drivers, effectively builds relationships with a wide range of influencers and participates in impactful conversations that frame the way our counterparts think about deploying capacity.  

Strategy and Development:

This role is accountable for executing global deployment strategies at various levels and ensuring an understanding of the ecosystem while applying internal knowledge to drive Cloud transformation to obtain expected business results.   Leverages Industry, Customer, Microsoft and Competitor knowledge to develop, communicate and execute winning pursuit strategies.

Program Management:

A PMI PM Framework will be the main vehicle to drive deployments in this space.   This structure has been developed in coordination with all operating models and Stakeholders to bring together a unified execution view aligned with Cloud business priorities and expected outcomes that can be implemented in all regions based on available resources.

Skills and Qualifications:

*   ??Ability to manage, prioritize and successfully execute multiple concurrent deployment projects.

*   Ability to balance competing demands for resources and adapt to changing priorities.

*   Proven ability to deliver projects on-time and adherence to deadlines.

*   Proven ability to motivate disparate teams both direct and indirect to solve issues.

*   Proven ability to prioritize projects.

*   Solid knowledge of the IT industry, specifically with an emphasis on infrastructure.  

*   Proven track record of influencing a dynamic set of stakeholders with competing interests toward win-win outcomes.

*   Experienced in managing regional and global deliver service operations for large complex datacenter/call center/incident management environments.  

*   Experienced in the delivery of complex and risky projects in a high-pressure production environment.

*   Skilled in the ability to deliver seamless implementations with ITIL solutions focused on improving workplace productivity.   Proven ability to design, develop and drive processes, policies and project plans while building a team that operates via a globally distributed network of colleagues to solve deployment problems quickly.

*   Advanced knowledge and understanding of a wide range of relevant core technologies; server hardware, LAN, WAN, telecom (specifically copper and fiber backbones), management and monitoring tools, virtualization.

*   Excellent communication / presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels, including senior executive levels to support negotiation & consensus-building activities.

*   Excellent facilitation, problem resolution, cross-group collaboration, and organizational agility skills that drive sponsorship & support for programs.

*   Strong analytical problem-solving abilities.

*   Strong interest and experience in developing and improving business processes and system.

*   Deliver business driven requirements for reporting on problems, their cause and resolution that help senior management make decisions on work prioritization to improve supply chain processes.

Experience Required:

*   ??ITIL Certification

*   Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

*   PMP Certification Preferred

*   Bachelors Degree and 10+ Years of Related Experience
