Join the Developer Experience (DX) organization in recruiting key cloud services vendors to develop their applications and consumer services on our cloud platform.

The US DX team is looking for a Business Evangelist who has that special mix of technical and business experience. As a member of the Azure team, you will be responsible for identifying, driving, and closing Azure opportunities in your market. You will help these partners bring their cloud based products to market by providing business model and architectural guidance and supporting them through their development and go-to-market activities. This position entails hunting for the next generation Microsoft Azure partner, passionate evangelism of the Microsoft Azure Platform, and driving a healthy pipeline of active opportunities to closure.

In this role, you would be responsible for:

• Ongoing evangelism of the Microsoft Azure service

• Effective opportunity pipeline development and management with accurate forecasting

• Creating Azure proposals and deployment plans compatible with overall Microsoft account management strategies

• Deployments of Azure applications that reinforce Microsoft’s business value, including TCO and ROI evidence

• Delivering on sales readiness activities and metrics

• Delivering ongoing market insights to the business group

The ideal candidate will have:

• Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and architectural approaches for deployment.

• Understanding of common cloud based business models and the ability to create win-win partnerships

• Familiarity with Open Source infrastructure and development technologies

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Enterprise business development, internet services software consulting or development

• Proven record of growing new businesses and building technical relationships with senior executives

• Exceptional leadership skills and community building

• Exceptional decision-making, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and follow through

• Results driven; strong analytical skills with exceptional verbal and written communication

• BS/BA degree, MBA preferred

This individual will need to demonstrate success in developing growth strategies and transforming them into execution. This position also involves a large amount of exposure to senior executives internally and externally to Microsoft and requires the ability to communicate concisely.
