Microsoft’s US Enterprise Services is looking for a Project Manager who demonstrates an advanced mix of skills in project management, technology, and strategic business acumen. The role requires both deep project management experience in a consulting organization, broad technology knowledge, and the ability to facilitate the deployment of solutions by mapping common customer business problems to reusable end-to-end technology solutions. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level business and technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value, and end-to-end Microsoft technology projects is required.

Microsoft Project Managers are key enablers for Microsoft consultants and partner staff. They manage the complete lifecycle of large and complex projects and have a passion for customers that is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience.

We are specifically looking for Project Managers with extensive experience managing large, global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions. This is an exciting time to join a dynamic, growing business! Demonstrated experience in implementing Dynamics AX, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Baan or Lawson ERP packages is required.

The selected candidate will apply solid project management and leadership skills and experience in delivering projects on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction. This candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills. The candidate must have experience in managing medium to large size teams on site and remote. Experience managing offshore teams is also preferred. The candidate must demonstrate expertise and proven ability in risk management and mitigation. The candidate must also have experience managing within the PMI methods.

As a Microsoft Project Manager, you will help identify, pursue, and close strategic business development opportunities while continually driving add-on business within existing accounts. To accomplish this, the Microsoft Project Manager must be effective in fostering executive level relationships. The successful candidate will help translate business requirements into technology requirements for inclusion in contracts and/or statements of work (SOW).

The successful candidate will have a BS/BA degree, or equivalent work experience, combined with a minimum of 10 years relevant working experience, including a minimum of 10 years in technology and 5 years managing projects. Previous consulting experience also strongly preferred. PMI’s PMP Certification is preferred. Proficiency in the Microsoft SureStep methodology is preferred. The job will require frequent travel (up to 100% national travel at times) and can be anywhere within the United States.
