Business Analyst

Do you want to work on the future of Xbox content?   Do you have a passion for creating amazing games and entertainment content that millions of customers experience?   If so, the Studios Portfolio Management team within the Xbox Product Services group has a great opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst responsible for driving the short and long term goals of Microsoft Studios.   Analyze business metrics and participate in MBR/QBR’s to provide actionable insights that impact our business.   You must be passionate about supporting service driven games and services.   The ideal candidate should have the ability to drive analytical rigor in decision making and demonstrate strong business acumen.

Job Responsibilities:

Track and analyze product and business results and drive plans to improve key business metrics.

Assist in defining Studios strategy and roadmap based on market analysis and internal assumptions.

Superior analytical and problem solving skills, work with game teams and portfolio management team to manage and track performance to targets and financial plan.

Work across teams to prepare business and portfolio reviews with insights based on key performance indicators.

Ability to quickly assess an opportunity´s potential, leveraging fact-based analyses and industry experience

Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a "peer" with Global Functions and Regions

Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities

Partners closely with business partners to analyze new projects and readiness for governance decisions and provides transparency of portfolio investments.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business analysis role on medium to large-scale projects ideally with experience in the gaming industry.

Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills coupled with tenacity for taking on initiatives proactively and delivering results.

Proven track record to deliver independent financial, competitive and global business analysis.

Can create and present financial statements, business plans, and strategy roadmaps.

Knowledge of and passion for the games and entertainment industry and the levers that drive hardware, software and services sales.

Demonstrated history and experience in the games industry developing, measuring and reporting game usage KPIs to establish goals, targets and insights to improve overall game experiences

  B.A/B.S or equivalent four-year degree.
