At Yammer, we face complex problems around moving and improving our distributedsystems. We’ve got millions of users and fulfill millions of requests every day. We’vegot a service that we’re running at scale, which we need to move to multipledatacenters and comply with multiple regional constraints. We need better internaltools to allow our whole engineering staff to work faster and more effectively.We’re seeking engineers who:
? Have good instincts about the tools that need to be built and the flexibility tojump in and build them (in whatever technology makes sense)
? Have past experience in building distributed storage systems
? Have run at least one service at scale in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
? Prioritize internal tool development and respect internal engineers as acustomer base
It’s also helpful if you have experience with Riak, Cassandra, Postgres, and/orBerkeleyDB -- but don’t hesitate to apply if you don’t. Problem-solving ability,experience engineering at scale, and attitude are much better predictors of yoursuccess here.
