Senior SWE

The Infrastructure and Tools team in IPG is helping to drive the next wave of productivity for speech, intent, and core relevance technologies, with a variety of projects supporting initiatives from Cortana to Windows 10 to Xbox One. The Speech and Intent End-To-End Reporting and Analysis team in Bellevue is responsible for designing and delivering capabilities needed for system and component-level analysis of speech and intent technologies, ultimately driving improvements in the E2E quality of natural conversational systems.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior SWE for the SpIn E2E Reporting and Analysis team to help define and build out the next generation of conversational understanding analytics capabilities. You will achieve these results by writing software that enables speech and natural language scientists, data analysts, and internal and external partners to investigate performance and accuracy of conversational services in production environments. The right candidate will have experience designing and building tools and frameworks, familiarity with data analysis approaches, a passion for multi-lingual software development, strong coding, automation, testing, and debugging skills, the ability to influence and drive quality across teams and disciplines, and the ability to work effectively with offsite vendors and language experts. Experience working with speech and language related corpora is strongly desired.

Qualifications should include:

-At least three to four product cycles of product development experience

-Strong design, coding (C#, SQL, scripting languages) and debugging skills

-Data mining, statistical analysis experience.

-A solid track record of collaborating with offsite vendors.

-Linguistic data analysis experience, a background in computational linguistics or speech recognition, and familiarity with more than one natural language are also a plus.

A BA/BS degree in CS or related technical discipline is required.
