Responsibilities:


In this position, you will be the first point of contact for internal and external customers. You will work in a fast-paced environment with many challenges, and you are responsible for ensuring our customers, both internal and external, receive the highest level of assistance possible regarding products, services, prices and all related processes.


You will also:


  • Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, payment terms, and account status.

  • Manage paperwork such as setting up new accounts, acquiring purchase orders, amending orders and preparing shipping documents.

  • Establish priorities in filling orders. Determine whether the request is routine or an emergency and take appropriate action.

  • Adjust or verify inventory records. May notify other departments when inventories are low or when filling certain orders would deplete supplies.

  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Buyers, Schedulers, Accounts Receivable, Stockroom, Shipping, Production, and Engineering to ensure internal and external customer’s requests and expectations are met.

Qualifications:


MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Strong computer applications knowledge (Word, Excel, Power Point)

  • Accurate typing and proofreading skills

  • Technical learning aptitude

  • Strong verbal and written communications

  • Functional and technical skills

  • Intermediate verbal and written communications

  • Intermediate telephone and customer communication skills

  • One to three years of customer service experience

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Two-year degree in business

  • JD Edwards business system knowledge

  • Customer service experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Office environment with small physical demands

  • Employee must be able to carry a minimum of 30 lb. packages for shipment
