Mail Processor - UCLA - Los Angeles, CA





Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Bulk Mail Services in collaboration with the Senior Mail Processor Supervisor, provides mail processing support to the Bulk Mail unit. Duties include production assistance including operation of the following mail machinery: inkjet, inserter, postal meter, tabber, and folder. In addition the following “hand work” is performed: mail sorting, hand inserting, use of scale, bagging bundles, tagging trays, and other various hand-work duties as needed. Knowledge of USPS permit postage system and production mail techniques is preferred.

Required/Preferred


Knowledge of U.S. Postal Service bulk mailing procedures and requirements.

Demonstrated skill in adjustment, operation and set-up of bulk mailing equipment for a full range of material.

Possession of valid California Drivers License for operation of university vehilcles and ability to operate 1 ton box truck.

Ability to operate electric power pallet jack.

Ability to lift and carry mail sacks weighing up to 50 lbs.
