Front Office Coordinator - Vaughan Regional Medical Center - Selma, AL

The Front Desk Coordinator provides a variety of administrative tasks.

Works directly with Physician Services Manager on special projects as needed.


Covers the front offices as needed to ensure efficient flow of patients in a all clinics.


Provides back-up support to each clinic in order to get month end information to the Centralized Billing Office (CBO) in a timely manner.


Works with CBO to ensure all claims are filed in a timely manner.


Answers calls from patients concerning their accounts.


Works with staff under the direction of the Physician Services Manager to ensure Revenue Cycle Guidelines are followed in all clinics.


Qualifications


Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.


Experience: Previous office work with excellent interpersonal skills. Some knowledge of ICD-9 coding is helpful but not required.


Skills: Typing, good public relations, the ability to read/comprehend written instructions. Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred, but not required.


Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, walk at least 2 hours per day, lift/carry 5 pounds, hear alarms and telephone rings, distinguish colors, perform repetitive tasks/motions, have good eye/hand/foot coordination, and have clear vision at 20 or more feet with vision corrective device.
