Lecturer in Chemistry - University of Virginia - Charlottesville, VA

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA invites applications for a non-tenure-track Lecturer position during the 2016-2017 academic year. The primary responsibilities may include direction and oversight of general chemistry laboratories, instruction of lower division lecture and/or laboratory courses in general chemistry, and instruction of organic chemistry laboratory courses.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and may take the form of part-time salary with part-time benefits or full-time salary with full-time benefits. The term of this appointment will be for one academic year with the possibility of renewal.

A Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field is required by appointment start date. Demonstrated teaching experience and a commitment to teaching excellence is required. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience working with and/or managing graduate or undergraduate teaching assistants.
