Lecturer in the Social Sciences Core - University of Chicago - Chicago, IL

The College at the University of Chicago invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in the Social Sciences Collegiate Division’s undergraduate Core. The Lecturer will teach six class sections in the “Power, Identity, Resistance” sequence over the course of the academic year. Additional responsibilities include attending staff meetings, holding office hours, and mentoring graduate student teaching interns. The position is a one-year, non-renewable appointment to begin on September 1, 2016. The salary is $30,000 plus applicable University benefits.

This position requires a PhD in a relevant discipline and evidence of teaching excellence. Experience teaching in “Power, Identity, Resistance” sequence is highly desirable.
