We are seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our Oil and Gas team. We understand the diverse talent of our employees is a driving force behind our success. Responsibilities:
As a Dispatcher, you will maximize each customer order in terms of volume of product and price, ensure the equipment is delivered on time and that the customer is not only satisfied – but impressed with the services and receives an invoice that they are willing and able to pay. You will also manage and insure Rental Technicians are performing their job duties satisfactorily.
Additional Position Responsibilities Include:
- Processing customer orders which includes; but is not limited to:
- Negotiating the original order; maximizing rate and volume.
- Obtaining full details of customer; checking customer account or obtaining credit application for new customer.
- Finalizing details about when, where and what equipment is required.
- Checking availability of equipment with shop.
- Recording details of call in phone log.
- Organizing transportation, i.e… Coordinating deliveries and collections, optimizing the use of transport.
- Manage Rental Technicians
- Accurate input of rental contracts and Administration of rental contracts.
- On and off rental dates.
- Rates and all ancillary charges.
- Amendments.
- Suspensions (ensuring prompt collection of equipment).
- Terminations (ensuring all ancillary charges are made).
- Filing of contracts and related paperwork.
- Checking invoices and credit memos against contract files.
- Forwarding sales leads and incoming inquiries to Salesman.
- Maintaining lost rent logs.
- Perform other duties assigned as assigned by the manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages rental technicians.
- Monitoring each through Operational Reporting and Financial Reporting on each function.
- Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of unit.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Also, conducting successful monthly Performance Review meeting, ensuring Rental Technicians present their area of responsibility; have a clear plan for the following month to present to staff.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- 2-3 years of Oil & Gas Industry experience
- 1 year Rental Tech experience preferred
- Working knowledge of DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Customer Service & Dispatch training a plus
- Working knowledge of the delivery area.
- Able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel. Position requires sitting or standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule that requires the individual to be available 7 days a week, after hours, weekends and holidays according to the schedule
