JOB SUMMARY:
Troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and services oil field equipment systems and components to ensure continuous operation compliance with all appropriate regulations and PSC policies, practices and procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs diagnosis for problems on various types of oil well service equipment based on reports from the field, using the appropriate diagnostic tests and interpreting the results
- Performs required repairs based on troubleshooting mechanical equipment
- Performs routine and moderately complex scheduled maintenance or repair work including overhauling engines and transmissions
- Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, belts, conveyors, fans, air conditioners, etc.
- Disassembles machines and repairing or replacing broken parts, as well as cleaning and lubricating parts
- Checks mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble, adjusting functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary
- Inspects completed repairs by less experienced mechanics
- Performs preventive maintenance inspection, including DOT annual inspections
- Works in the shop or in the field depending on work assignments or work location
- Completes required paperwork
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Class B CDL
JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- 2 or more years oilfield pumping services experience

DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be competent in fuel systems, engine groups, and failure analysis , rotating pumps, reciprocating equipment
- Flexibility.
- Safe Driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Strong organizational, time management and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, unsupervised, and be dependable.
- Ability to work overtime.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to work more than 8 hours in a day 30-50% of the time or as needs arise.
