This is a great opportunity to set and influence the direction, from the ground-up, of the post-silicon validation of Broadcom’s 64-bit ARM server chip.
Successful candidate will be directly and primarily responsible for development of post-silicon validation tools and automation and driving a functional area through silicon validation. This is a critical area that would be vital to the success of a brand new product line
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop tools/methodology for validating different areas of the CPU/SOC in post-silicon
- Validation of a high performance CPU at post-silicon with the goal of qualifying the functionality for production
- Design, implement and deploy tools/automation flows for use by post-silicon validation
- Collaborate with validation engineers to determine requirements, and implement solutions, and deploy it.
- Understand existing validation methodology and flow and implement solutions to improve upon those
- Support validation teams on tool issues and flows.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of software algorithms and Object-Oriented design principles
- Strong C/C++ programming background
- Scripting language experience, like Perl/Python/Ruby
- Experience with bringing up/maintaining Databases
- Experience with developing and maintaining release methodologies
- Past experience in a post-silicon validation environment/tools design/development
- BS (EE or CS) required with 5-10 years relevant experience. MS (EE or CS) preferred
- Self-motivated team player with excellent problem solving skills
