Work on next generation state-of-the art Multi-Core Processors- the most competitive processors on the market with highest performance/ lowest power consumption on a single SoC. This team will be chartered with evaluating a variety of micro-architecture options, performance modeling, performance projections and performance validation. You will be expected to execute micro-architectural modeling, identify performance/power tradeoffs, performance correlation and benchmark/workload analysis/characterization. You will also be expected to interact with senior microprocessor architects while developing performance-directed tests with RTL and microprocessor design/implementation teams to identify, resolve and document architectural performance issues.
Requirements:
- Must have a BS, MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Minimum five years of experience in and strong command of computer architecture/micro-architecture concepts,
- Strong demonstrable skill in C/C++ programming in UNIX environment
- Experience operating systems and compilers
- Familiarity with performance models to analyze bottlenecks and to find optimizations in computer architecture features
