ARM Embedded Linux / Bootloader / BSP and Device Driver Developer


 


The Connectivity, Processors & Security (CPS) team is expanding an exciting product line of SoCs with integrated network features. Our products are used in a wide range of systems including home gateways, home storage systems, point of sale devices, and industrial Ethernet applications.


 


This position is for the software development group in the Compute and Connectivity Line of Business (CPX) of the Infrastructure and Networking division of Broadcom.


 


Are you a highly motivated individual who wants to bring-up Linux and device drivers on next generation multi-core ARM based SOCs in a high energy, fast paced environment?


 


In this role, you will work as part of a team to design, integrate, debug, and document firmware and drivers for Systems on a Chip (SoC) used in a variety of applications in network switching.


 


Requirements:


Typically requires a BS degree and 3 years of experience plus required training, or an MS and no years of experience plus required training.


Strong programming skills with C, exposure to scripting languages and Linux or Unix environments.


Knowledge of system primitives such as timers, DMA, interrupts, cache configuration and device registration


Exposure to networking systems/stacks. Understanding of L2 and L3 forwarding a plus.


Strong problem solving skills
