This is a generalist position for the Golf Shop at Buffalo Run Golf Course. The employee will report mainly to the Head Golf Professional and the First Assistant Golf Professional I, and perform a variety of merchandise related tasks and administrative duties including booking tee times, greeting customers and selling of merchandise.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily coordination of play and practice range operations
- Assist in answering telephones
- Assist in the booking of tee time reservations
- Greet customers
- Assist in the selling of green fee receipts and selling of merchandise, including display, promotion, controls and inventory of golf shop merchandise.
- Enforce all golf course policies and procedures.
- Assist in the general cleaning of the golf pro shop
- Assist in the general upkeep of the golf shop merchandise
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED Diploma
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must have strong interest in golf
- Must communicate effectively with team members, peers, supervisors, citizens and outside agencies
- Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
Equipment Used, Work Environment and Physical Activities:
- Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines including telephones, hand held radio, computers, facsimile machines, and Point of Sale system
- Ability to operate golf cart vehicles
- Ability to lift, carry and push up to 50 lbs on occasion
- Working conditions are both indoor and outdoor including standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, talking and seeing
