Winery Admin / Bookkeeper job - Sunset Hills Vineyard - Purcellville, VA






Sunset Hills Vineyard, one of the fastest growing wineries in Virginia is looking for an energetic and capable Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our expanding team.


The primary function of this role will be to assist the Comptroller in accurate record keeping (accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management). This includes, but is not limited to:


  • Sorting mail.

  • Matching and filing receipts.

  • Accurately entering payments and expenses into QuickBooks software.

  • Maintaining positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Additionally, this role will perform administrative functions such as:


  • Communicating with internal and external clients via telephone and email.

  • Maintaining general office cleanliness, organization, and stock of required office supplies.

  • Assisting the rest of the management team with any miscellaneous tasks.

Job Requirements:


  • Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, quick-thinking problem solver

  • The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English – must be able to deliver high-quality customer service!

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and Windows.

  • Available to work weekends, and may be required to work irregular hours during periods of heavy workload or to meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Capable of appropriately handling confidential information with tact and maturity.

  • Perform other related job duties as assigned.
