Purpose of Position:


The Data and Reporting Manager leads the technical architecture design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a customer-focused data management and reporting system for a program that serves Saudi students pursuing undergraduate degrees in the US. S/he partners with stakeholders to develop business processes for the entire life cycle of program participants and is responsible for the management of a small reporting team and for the quality of all team deliverables. The team develops pathways to collect, maintain and report on students’ academic, personal and professional progress and builds regular and ad-hoc reports for the sponsor and in support of the delivery of high quality services. Work is carried out independently under general supervision.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. IIE may add, change, or remove essential and other duties at any time.


Data and Reporting System Management


  • Collaborate with KGSP functional units and IIE central services to develop and manage an efficient program data management and reporting system that is centered on the CRM database.

  • Identify, develop and implement data maintenance and reporting tools for dynamic processes that are outside of scope/capacity for CRM (such as Placement and Enrichment).Lead the development of efficient, cross-cutting business processes, communication protocols and tracking tools in CRM which combine the work of multiple functional units on behalf of a single grantee or a group of grantees

  • Develop appropriate data management, maintenance and storage procedures within CRM and other relevant environments; train staff as needed. Develop processes, workflow rules, tools, and preventive actions to manage and maintain data integrity.

  • Work closely with NY Placement and KGSP Foundation Year advisors to ensure the integrity and reporting of university application data for successful submission.

  • Develop technological solutions for sponsor-driven data and reporting requests. Effectively communicate with relevant program management; offer options for solution when needed.

  • Design and extract standardized and ad hoc reports.

  • Contribute to performance metric development.

  • Reduce complex narratives and data into succinct client facing presentations.

  • Identify trends in client requests to direct and drive reporting capabilities.

  • Assure quality for all reporting deliverables.

  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned.People Management

  • Supervise three full-time team members; make recommendations concerning employment, termination, performance evaluations, salary actions, and other personnel actions.

  • Manage a team of seasonal administrative placement specialists who collect, input and report on all KGSP student university applications within IIE’s internal grantee management tool.

  • Prioritize, organize, distribute, and coordinate the flow of work.

  • Guide individual employee performance via timely communication and support.

  • Ensure that prescribed policies, procedures, and schedules are followed.

  • Responsible for complying with applicable contract and sponsor requirements and following all IIE policies and procedures.Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Four years’ professional experience; 2+ years’ experience in database management, implementing custom reporting or metrics solutions and/or systems integration projects.

  • Experience developing workflows and reports within Oracle CRM OnDemand or similar business intelligence tool required.

  • Supervisory and international higher education exchange experience highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Strong technology savvy; strong conceptual understanding of databases and data exchange issues; ability to synthesize multiple internal/external systems into a single larger process flow.

  • Ability to manage, motivate, and develop high-functioning teams.

  • Possess a high degree of flexibility and adaptability under a deadline; excited by a rapidly changing and growing environment.

  • Superior communication skills; both written and oral.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, and judgment.

  • Awareness, sensitivity, and understanding of cross-cultural issues.

  • Fluency in English, written and oral.

  • Proficiency with Adobe product suite and MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
