Breast Imaging Fellowship - University of Missouri - Columbia, MO

The University of Missouri has a comprehensive breast imaging section with imaging modalities including mammography with tomosynthesis , diagnostic ultrasound, whole-breast screening ultrasound and MRI. Breast interventions such as biopsy and needle localization are also performed utilizing mammography, ultrasound and MRI. There are four screening sites, with interventions performed mostly at our main Ellis Fischel cancer center location and few at our Women and Children?s hospital. Our radiologists work closely with surgical and medical oncology to provide timely, cutting-edge care for breast cancer patients including participation in weekly multi-disciplinary breast cancer conferences.

Fellows are active participants in all levels of breast imaging, including breast interventions. Fellows are also involved in resident education, mainly during board ?read-outs? as well as a few didactic conferences. Participation in any of a number of ongoing research projects within the section, or organization of a new project, is encouraged, but not required.
