United States of America: Senior Procurement Specialist


Crown Agents USA, Inc. (CA-USA) is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist in either our Washington, D.C. office or remote.

Role & Responsibilities


To provide a professional procurement service to select projects; ensuring that procurement policies and operating procedures are followed in the purchasing of quality assured commodities to target timescales at a competitive price.


Specific Responsibilities


Bidding


  • Preparing and reviewing Tender documents

  • Preparing evaluation reports

  • Preparing and updating Procurement Implementation Plans and Procurement Plans

Contract Management


  • Reviewing contracts

  • Reviewing and approving contract modification notices

  • Reviewing and signing contract termination notices

Process Management and Reporting


  • Liaising with PM on any project and procurement related matters

  • Guiding in-country procurement person

  • Providing support and guidance on procurement methods

  • Reviewing tender documents, evaluation reports and contracts prepared by local procurement specialist

  • Reviewing contracts

  • Reviewing and approving contract modification notices

  • Reviewing and signing contract termination notices

  • Liaising with CA bank on any payment issues

  • Attending weekly meetings

Any other duties as appropriate to the position, as requested


Qualifications


· Bachelor’s Degree required


· A minimum of 5 or more years’ professional experience, with a minimum of 3 or more years’ experience related specifically to this role


· Must demonstrate personal attributes such as loyalty and integrity in addition to being resourceful and flexible, which is inherent in this position


· Experience with high volume, transactional procurement in a government contracting environment required


· Knowledge of, and experience utilizing, the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) desired


· Fluency in English and Spanish required; Speaking, reading, and writing


· Strong written and verbal communication skills required
