Cash Application Analyst - Nourison Industries Inc. - Saddle Brook, NJ

Nourison is currently seeking a Cash Applications Analyst located in our Saddle Brook, NJ office. This individual will will be responsible for ensuring the accurate application and clearing of customer payments (Checks, Credits, ACH, and wire transfers). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Access bank websites, download check copies, batch and enter them on the excel monthly cash control work sheets Apply cash to customer accounts Reconcile credit card payments from individual showrooms, enter them on the excel monthly credit card control worksheet, obtain the bank fees and admin fees, then apply the payments to the customers’ accounts to ensure proper accounting for the fees and admin charges. Research and provide all necessary backup documentation for challenging or validating deductions taken by customers. Apply wire and ach transfer payments to customer accounts. Access customers’ websites for the purpose of challenging inappropriate deductions taken by customers who require that we file protests of deductions using their online web sites. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION 5+ years cash applications experience required. Strong knowledge of MS Excel & Word. Experience with AS400 a +. Must be very internet savvy and able to access many individual websites for the purpose of obtaining remittance advices.
