Job Title: Recruiting Intern (Part-Time)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Paid


Reports To: Director, Recruiting


Location: Green Bay Support Office – 1724 Lawrence Drive, De Pere WI 54115


Festival Foods is growing, and has an opportunity for an enthusiastic, results-driven HR student to apply their classroom learning and make an immediate impact on the applicant experience! Under the direction, guidance, and support of the Recruiting Team,

the Recruiting Intern will support the recruitment and staffing process for several new Festival Foods stores opening in 2016. Gain full-time experience in Human Resources before graduation!


The Recruiting Intern will create an exceptional candidate experience that will “boomerang” candidates back to our stores while identifying top talent for opportunities at Festival Foods.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The “Day to Day”


· Support and drive the recruitment and hiring activities for new stores


· Source, attract, find, review and phone interview great talent to join the growing Festival Foods team


· Post positions to the Festival Careers website and other recruitment sources; update and maintain to attract and source applicants


· Pre-screen candidates to ensure a Festival Foods guest-focused attitude prior to in-person interview


· Organize and execute in person interview day events for new store openings, ensuring a Festival brand experience for all potential candidates and hiring managers


· Coordinate recruitment needs and communicate progress with Recruiting Team


· Utilize Applicant Tracking System to update job openings and applicant statuses per the recruitment procedure


· Search for qualified candidates by attending job fairs and networking events with colleges and high schools


· Other duties as assigned

· Inside Recruiting:


o Shadow our Recruiters to learn about sourcing techniques to prepare you for finding passive talent, and phone interview tips


o Resume Review and Mock Interviews with Recruiting Team to prepare you for your post-graduation job search


o Participate in Recruiting Department Meetings


o Weekly status updates with member of Recruiting team and/or Director of Recruiting: Discuss career goals and weekly progress


· Beyond Recruiting:


o Spend an afternoon with our HR Analyst who leads compensation to understand what goes into creating a salary structure and pay for performance philosophy


o Attend Leadership Essential Training: A training program for leaders new to Festival Foods that prepares individuals for leadership success


o Develop Training Skills at HR Culture Meeting: Present leadership topic and team development activity at Green Bay Support Office HR Culture Meeting


o Generalist Exposure: Spend an afternoon shadowing Store HR Generalist


o Further develop communication skills and professional confidence through interacting with applicants, associates and leaders


RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACT


Supervisory Relationships:


· Directly reports to the Director of Recruiting, indirect reporting relationship to Recruiting team


Organization Relationships:


· Frequent contact with all Human Resource associates to provide administrative recruiting support, gain information, work on joint projects, and utilize expertise


QUALIFICATIONS


· Eagerness to learn and share new ideas is required


· Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with leaders and all associates


· Excellent oral and written communication skills


· Ability to professionally represent Festival Foods via phone and in person


· Project management concepts and organization skills are strongly preferred


· Critical Thinking; using logic and reasoning to identify and rectify potential issues


· Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)


· Excellent Time Management skills; ability to manage one’s own time effectively to meet required deadlines


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT


· Sitting at a computer 75% of the time


· Professional presence and proper phone etiquette is required

The Recruiting Intern is a part-time non-exempt position.
