Position Description Intel’s Global Insights and Analytics organization is looking for a senior IoT Insights Strategist for the IoT Innovation Insights team. The role involves collaborating with key business units to lead the IoT vertical product innovation and marketing strategy insights (Autonomous Driving, Connected Car, Machine Learning).

We are looking for a big picture thinker with extensive B2B product research experience, business & technology acumen, and passion to influence business decisions based on market data.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record working with IT decision makers, Sr. business decision makers, IoT engineers and architects, and key OEM/ODM customers to design primary study, to generate insights to influence business unit decisions to influence roadmap and strategy.


This role works directly with senior business unit management to identify research gaps and develop the pipeline(s) to uncover unmet needs, product innovation opportunity, and craft marketing strategy with measurable impact to the business. Our research insights directly impact business unit decisions including product/service roadmap & requirements, future scenarios & monetization model, targeting, partnerships and go-to-market strategy.


The candidate must easily navigate multiple levels within the organization establishing credibility and trust. In addition, the candidate must be well-versed in key concepts related to Transportation IoT solutions (Autonomous Driving, Connected Car, Machine Learning), and related business application and modeling.


To be successful in this role, the incumbent will need to span our team’s IoT responsibilities range across smart devices, autonomous cars, industrial robots, smart building, responsive retail, and business/industrial systems.


Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):


  • Identify key business questions from stakeholders and translate them into compelling research questions.

  • Design and execute primary research with detailed milestones and plans while applying various market strategies methodologies to research projects.

  • Engage in conducting the research (both Qualitative and Quantitative methods) in order to discover insights about people first hand.

  • Facilitate teams and clients through analysis and synthesis of user research, helping to distill the most important insights and link them together in frameworks, principles, and implications for design and product roadmap.

  • Manage multiple projects (approximately 4-6 projects at any given time) with velocity and quality.

thoughtful business opportunities.

up your point of view strongly with research evidence.

questions.


Required Skills/Experience:


  • 6+ years of proven market research analytics expertise. At least 5 years of

experience in B2B topics working with IT, OT, and business solution engineers

and architects in industry as a market/user researcher, strategist, product

manager, or market researcher.


  • Detailed experience developing and implementing market research and

programs.


  • Experience across a broad range of primary research methodologies; from

in-depth, qualitative studies to quantitative surveys/ conjoint analysis.


  • Prior experience conducting business audience focused research

  • Experience presenting convincingly to senior executives. Excellent, visual,

verbal, written communication skills. Confident presentation style.


  • Familiarity with office applications (Excel*, PowerPoint*, Word*, Outlook*).

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Client side and agency experience in market research, or product innovation

  • Prior experience working in the automotive industry

  • Domain knowledge or experience on “Internet of Things” and/or “Autonomous
