Come join the Information Technology Finance Team as a Senior Finance Manager supporting MS IT business portfolios that drive technology solutions and success across Microsoft.
As a finance leader you will partner across multiple teams to effectively manage and guide their financial portfolio spending. Your MSIT partners will include the User Experience Services teams. To be successful with partners and portfolio leads, the role requires a mix of strong analytical, business process excellence and reporting skills to provide appropriate business insight and guide financial execution. In addition, the successful candidate will have the ability and confidence to work across teams, understand and communicate complex concepts, bring business insights, drive change in a technology environment and influence results.
As the financial leader of your portfolio the core responsibilities will include:
• Drive annual planning process, target setting, project costing, budgeting, quarterly forecasting, mid-year review, bi-annual business reviews etc.
• Provide leadership to the business with respect to financial management, resource prioritization and allocation.
• Drive analytical and conceptual thinking with the business that extends beyond the numbers into strategy.
• Ability to ‘tell the story’ and drive insightful analytics and financial reviews with IT and Finance leadership
• Ensure technology investments are aligned to key priorities and recommend opportunities to re-allocate and re-deploy resources.
• Actively communicate across multiple (and disparate) teams to ensure successful end to end understanding of portfolios, processes and planning
Experience Required:
• 7+ years of financial analysis and financial accounting experience, preferably in a high tech company.
• Strong PC skills (excellent Excel skills required, Power BI and Database skills preferred).
• Knowledge of Microsoft tools a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in developing complex financial models; excellent quantitative analysis and forecasting skills
• Strong communication & presentation skills.
• Can easily present complex financial issues to non-finance executives.
• Strong interpersonal and cross group collaboration skills.
• Ability to drive simplicity within a complex and matrix environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Advanced degree/certification such as MBA/CPA a strong plus
