Job Summary: The OR Attendant reports to the Perioperative Manager. This position is responsible for providing a wide variety of duties including; assisting with transport of patients independently transporting patients, assisting with positioning of patients, monitoring equipment and supply par levels, restocking, cleaning and set-up of patient bays and retrieval of beds.

Essential Responsibilities:
Communicates with patients/families, management and members of the healthcare team clearly and courteously. Helps to facilitate a cooperative and positive work environment. Cross-covers for UCO during absences (PACU only).
Transports patients as directed, maintaining a conscious regard for their comfort and safety. Assists nurse in patient care by lifting and positioning patients. May assist with other patient care tasks, as directed, (i.e. preps).
Provides assistance to nursing staff during patient admission/discharge by anticipating needs, i.e. infusion pumps, Baer Hugger, PCA/Epidural pumps, monitors, oxygen tanks, setting up stretchers/beds with oxygen tank and mask, IV pole, pillow, blanket. Transports patients to and from inpatient units with assistance or independently.
Accompanies outpatients to lobby and waits with then until their transportation arrives. Assists them into their vehicle (PACU only). Transports patients to other parts of the hospital as required. Picks up and delivers medications/specimens as directed. Obtains or returns blood products to/from Blood Bank as directed.
Cleans patients' equipment including: monitors, cables and specialty equipment. Assists in manpower support for moves, special set-ups and any other occasion when a larger than normal group is needed. Restocking of supplies on unit including bedside cards, infusion, epidural, and PCA pumps from the distribution center. Stocks warmers with blankets, solutions. Stocks pods, cleaning supplies.

Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required .
0-1 years related work experience required.
Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Written Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written English with internal and external customers.
Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, families and external customers.

Medical billing collections specialist, medical collector and medical collections representative are in immediate need. In general, this is an accounts receivable position that must comply with federal and state regulations.

Description: 1. Collection calling and billing out claims to health care providers, insurance companies and individuals while updating billing information electronically will be primary functions in medical collection positions. Medical collectors will also perform various administration duties and look up and attach medical coding to accounts.

Responsibilities: 2. Medical collectors will be responsible for making outbound calls and sending letters to patients and third-party companies to collect on delinquent medical accounts. This person may review patient information to determine why claims weren't paid, and research denied claims. They will document all work and calls performed. They may also set up payment arrangements with the payer. This person may receive, open and make contact calls on correspondence received through mail. They may also process and document when payments are received.

Experience: 3. No college degree required for a medical collector; although a high school diploma or GED will be required, along with knowledge of general office administration and previous collection experience. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Previous experience with billing coding may also be a requirement.

Qualifications: 4. Strong verbal and writing skills are necessary qualifications for the position. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook will be a requisite. Medical collectors may be tested to see if they can type at least 30 words per minute, including data-entry skills. The ability to be punctual will be a qualification.

Environment: 5. Medical collectors may work in a fast-paced office environment and sit for long periods in front of a computer while talking on the phone throughout their entire workday. Faxing, e-mailing and copying may also be a part of daily duties. The ability to handle daily stressful situations due to the nature of the job will be a necessity. Previous experience in billing, collections, AR/AP, customer service, healthcare is a plus. Will train the correct individual. This is a full-time job located in Lees Summit MO. We are seeking a Medical Billing Projects Specialist for
our Billing Center. In this position responsible for the
completion of special projects as assigned by the
Billing Center manager or supervisor, working directly
with them to ensure all projects are handled effectively
and efficiently.

Essential responsibilities include:
• Completion of all assigned special projects (e.g.,
sort code set-up, implementation and reporting,
company conversions/transfers within the billing
center, and acquisition patient conversions) within
the timeframe requested
• Review of all acquisition documents for validity
prior to converting acquired location patients and
charges into IMBS, Rotech s proprietary medical
billing system
• Performing tests of any Billing Center recommended
pilot projects, reporting findings of test
projects and resolution of any problematic issues
• Assist Billing Center Managers and internal audit in
pulling files and obtaining documents for audits as
needed
• Fill-in for Billing Center staff who are out due to
vacation, illness or personal leave as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• Applicants should possess a high school diploma or
GED
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft applications including,
but not limited to Word and Excel
• This role requires the ability to work independently
and as part of a team, as well as the ability to
identify, interpret and evaluate problems to
determine appropriate resolutions
• General knowledge of federal payer program
regulations and guidelines, internet navigation and
research, e-mail, fax transmission, and copy
equipment are essential

Preferred Qualifications:
• A minimum of one year experience in DME
coverage/billing guidelines as well as Medicare
DMEPOS coverage and payment rules is strongly
preferred
