The Assistant Store Manager will perform most of the functions of the store manager on a rotational basis, with primary responsibility for a functional area of the store.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Recruit, interview, hire, train and develop a team of friendly, customer focused sales and support staff

- Maintain an in-store learning environment that delivers the most knowledgeable and skilled team in retail

- Provide feedback, development and growth opportunities focused on producing the next team of retail store leaders and driving attrition to below 20% annually

- Drive sales through effective execution and team support of Microsoft retail strategies

- Protect company assets including people, merchandise, facilities and money

REQUIREMENTS:

- 3-5 Years Retail store management experience

- 3-5 years of high traffic/high volume retail experience

- 3-5 years of people management experience

- College Degree Preferred

- Previous experience working with and selling technology preferred

SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Strong presentation skills

- Experience managing in a customer service environment a plus

- Ability to build strong customer relationships

- Ability to develop and motivate employee team

- Strong organizational skills

- Attention to detail necessary

Lifting with or without assistance (loading and unloading all those great products and carrying purchases out for our customers may be required!

We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide executive level support and partnership to two high level General Managers in Windows Marketing.   This position will require someone who can adjust direction in response to changing situations, have a focused attention to detail, accommodate different working styles and prioritize their own work and tasks. This position offers a wide variety of administrative functions, as well as the responsibility for executive-level interfaces, working closely with the Corporate VP’s staff as their projects intersect with the executive. This position has outward facing contact with customers, partners and their assistants, as well as frequent contact with individuals of all levels within Microsoft.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  Proactively managing a complex calendar with utmost attention to accuracy and timeliness

  Complex calendar management manage travel, expenses, multiple tasks and action items (documentation, follow up and preparation) for the CVP ensuring appropriate and timely action on deliverables and effectively prioritizing multiple requests.  

  Coordinating and scheduling both internal and external meetings, including customer, partner and consultant meetings

  Assuring executives’ calendar and events have a smooth execution

  Arranging domestic and international travel

  Coordinating in-depth field/area visits, distributing schedules and itineraries as needed

  Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects at once, including solid project-management and problem-solving skills independently, while exercising good judgment and following through on issues in a timely manner

  Excellent organizational, analytical and written communication skills

  Able to work effectively under pressure and act with appropriate urgency within short time constraints and shift priorities, and in relatively ambiguous and complex situations without having to know all of the details; and to make course corrections as needed in response to changing work situations

  Understanding of the business and what is important at different times by mapping where time is spent to key priorities  

  Manage leadership event planning with little or no guidance

  Detailed planning, execution and organizational skills are required.

  Provide leadership and feedback to extended Marketing team administrative staff

  High level of integrity and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism

  Coordinate space planning and office moves for team.

Additional responsibilities include:

  Assisting with preparation of presentation materials and off-site meeting logistics, as needed

  Process expense reports, while managing to fiscal year budget

  Maintain utmost confidentiality with sensitive and personal information.

  Ability to anticipate conflicts/changes and act proactively to resolve to efficiently solve difficult or complex problems

  Exceptional attention to detail and high accountability with the ability to complete high volumes of tasks on numerous projects

Basic Qualifications:

  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7+ years of demonstrated success in supporting a senior executive in a fast-paced environment.

  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  BA/BS degree preferred

  Knowledge of corporate organization, departmental business practices, and tools are strongly preferred

  Overtime and some travel may be required

  Experience in a high-technology environment is preferred

  Strong working knowledge of MSFT internal tools such as Headtrax, MS Market, MS Expense, My Order and SharePoint.

JAIL PROCESSING ASSISTANT - SHELBY COUNTY GOVERNMENT - Memphis, TN

Work under general supervision to perform difficult and responsible clerical work and duties in the areas of Intake, Release and Classification. Prepares inmate's paperwork as it relates to processing into or release from the jail system and ensures the legality of commitment or release.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Two (2) years experience in appropriate clerical, bookkeeping, data processing or statistical experience; and
2. Graduation from an accredited high school or possess GED.

Special Requirements

1. Must be available to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
2. Must be able to work in a jail secured environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs intake responsibilities which include arrest ticket check to ensure vital information is included; takes fingerprints and photographs to identify and match repeat offenders with their records and identifications.
2. Assigns to first time offenders a new record and identification number and booking number; prepares armband for inmate by obtaining information from documents received.
3. Generates a verification sheet (Hit sheet) through the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS).
4. Reads and interprets criminal history checks to determine if inmates are wanted and require fugitive holds to be placed.
5. Performs a pre-assessment of inmate’s physical appearance to determine if they display immediate need for medical attention.
6. Enters information into the Jail Management System ensuring all required information is entered correctly.
7. Reviews, researches and interprets received legal documents generated by courts, federal, state and local agencies and compares them to information entered into JMS to ensure matching data.
8. Retrieves approved releases and ensures inmates are called down to be released in a timely manner. Generates a final release document through the Jail Management System (JMS).
9. Generates a list of inmates to be distributed to required staff to ensure inmates are released to proper authorities. Provides information to the staff assigned to the release area if time has expired.
10. Compiles all related information with the use of JMS, JSS and TOMIS and provides to assigned lead to review before the inmate is released.
11. Works with the Judicial Commission to ensure inmates are acceptable to enter into the jail system.
12. Maintains a log of each inmate booked in JMS, denied by the commissioner, transported to MMHI and adds on tickets.
13. Communicates with Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) coordinator pertaining to criminal history checks on inmates who are housed in the facility.
14. Communicates with post conviction agencies as necessary.
15. Prepares and maintains statistical reports which are given to the processing managers.
16. Performs other related responsibilities as required or directed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Knowledge of laws, ordinances, rules and regulations affecting the record keeping operations of a department and skill in applying them.
2. Ability to plan, organize and maintain an even flow of work.
3. Ability to maintain continuous mental alertness and reasoning ability.
4. Ability to spell, punctuate and use grammar correctly.
5. Ability to deal courteously with the public, co-workers, and inmates to resolve problem situations.
6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

As an Executive Assistant, you will take on a variety of roles, working with a dynamic group of people.
