What we'd like you to have:

3-5 years management experience working in a corporate environment

The SharePoint Online Service Engineering team is chartered with developing, building, and running a highly available, secure, and scalable online environment.   This environment provides a great opportunity for an experienced Service Engineer with specific focus on Datacenter Network Engineering.   This role will be primarily responsible for building, running, and migrating our global network infrastructure.   The position will require the ability to partner with partner teams, build architectural strategies, and drive project plans to deliver against key business initiatives.   It will also involve joint software development efforts across multiple infrastructure platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, and F5 Networks.

Responsibilities include:

• Interact with business stakeholders to develop operational project plans that align with key business objectives.

• Manage day-to-day network build operations within Microsoft datacenters.

• Provide general networking expertise, design next generation network architectures and corresponding adoption strategies.

• Develop tools, optics, and quality control processes that provide network service stability.

• Develop and deploy role based reporting dashboards for executives, account support, and operations personnel.

• Debug and resolve technical problems through collaboration with IT teams.

• Establish clear standards and procedures documentation for training other engineers and operations personnel.

Education & Job experience requirements:

  BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, related degree, or equivalent work experience.

  Strong System Engineering & Administrative skills with datacenter networks.

  Demonstrated strong experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell, C# and C++.

  Relevant knowledge of network industry standards and the use of analytics in an operational setting.

  Understanding of software development methodologies and practices including agile development and continuous integration (CI)

  Experience working Cisco, Juniper, and F5 systems.

  Certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CNE is a big plus.

  Participation in the Operations team’s 24/7 on-call rotation as needed.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Job Purpose:

Microsoft IT (MSIT) has one of the most exciting and challenging IT environments in the world. Delivering services that enable our customers, our partners, and our employees to be the best they can be and using the products we make in groundbreaking ways is one of the most invigorating positions available in Microsoft or anywhere in the world.

As part of the Corporate Functions IT leadership team, you will lead the Service Engineering Organization that deploys and provides escalation support for our four distinct business functions that run the company: HR, Finance, Legal and IT. In this role, you will leverage your technical experience and knowledge in services architecture to design and deploy scalable solutions, collaborating with multiple teams and disciplines to create truly horizontally-scalable and robust services.

We particularly look for at least one of two backgrounds: either as a developer or as an operations engineer (preferably both). If you were a developer, you were the one on the team who got most excited by increasing the availability, reliability, scalability, and performance of your services-oriented architecture. You loved adding telemetry to your application so that you could investigate how your users interacted with and experienced your application.   If you were an operations engineer, you were the one who was keen on automation, never wanting to do the same manual task twice.

Core Job Responsibilities include:  

  Develop and maintain a vision and strategy for the Service Engineering Organization

  Develop and own the strategy and roadmap for tools to support Service Engineering‘s catalog of Services

  Understand the customer and market to align the Service Engineering organization to successfully achieve the service-wide IT vision and strategy

  Deliver real-time and self-serve experiences across our service portfolio and aligned with Microsoft’s server and cloud platform strategy

  Design Services using Service Oriented Architecture

  Design of effective diagnostics and alerting

  Minimize failures and resulting customer impact through Resilience Modelling Analysis (FMEA for Cloud) and Simulating service outages

  Drive Data-driven analysis of current service behavior to inform service designs, and identify ways that standard data center SKUs can be leveraged.

  Work with Software Engineers to help design approaches to enable “Testing in Production” (Tip) as a strategic alternative to more extensive pre-production testing.

  Understand end to end performance characteristics of services

  Design systems and processes for running enterprise or consumer services at scale, drive cost & operational efficiency

  Deliver one service management solution and experience for change, problem, configuration and incident management

  Review, cost and design optimized designs based on rigorous understanding of costs and returns

  Measure and drive improvement in organizational performance through the identification and implementation of performance metrics.

  Deliver high level design documents addressing the business, infrastructure, security, support and operational needs of a solution

  Provide excellent customer service, leadership and communication to the organization and businesses we support

Skills/Qualifications:

  Minimum 10+ years of current software development/service engineering expertise and a minimum of 5 years leading or managing a high performing Engineering or Service Engineering organization

  Ability to read/write and debug code

  Expertise in a scripting language such as Powershell, Python, or Perl

  Knowledge in OOD and an OOP language such as C# or Java

  Knowledge and familiarity with Open/Enterprise Architecture frameworks

  Knowledge of how the entire service landscape works (Service dependencies) and related technologies

  Service Lifecycle COGS and planning

  Deep familiarity with cloud technology strengths and limitations

  Deep knowledge of building high-performance, highly available, reliable, distributed software & services

  Experience with continuous delivery & configuration management

  Track record of leading technical teams across stages of service development and delivery using agile methods

  Strong problem solving and algorithmic thinking

  Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and identify important problems to solve

  Track record building and coordinating technical/architectural plans to address enterprise service goals and challenges

  Experience automating the delivery and management of private and public cloud infrastructure series at enterprise scale using the Microsoft server and cloud platform or similar technology

  In-depth multi-disciplined knowledge of network services and technologies and how they are evolving. Strong candidates should be knowledgeable of future IT trends in multiple areas such as security, network and system virtualization, WAN routing, datacenter ecosystem, disaster recovery, SAN, and wireless networking.

  Management experience with executive communications, coaching others, driving and delivering results, fostering teamwork, enforcing standards, giving constructive feedback.

  Experience working in virtual team environments across business boundaries to deliver value beyond the scope of your reporting structure, focus on business value to the Microsoft ecosystem of customers, partners, and employees, and be a champion for intellectual property (IP) sharing and reuse.    

  Strong domain knowledge in Human Resources, Finance, Legal and IT preferred.

The ideal candidate will need to be well versed in Online Service technologies with an ability to leverage and develop monitoring solutions that enable our business to view end to end service scenarios from the customer’s perspective allowing us to proactively identify and resolve issues. Additionally, strong interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills are a must to help establish and maintain our partnerships with central service offering dependencies, Microsoft Product teams, our partner engineering teams and 3rd party partnerships. Must be a strong team player who can bring concerns to light utilizing data driven approaches.

Primary responsibilities include:

•      Short term management and support of MPSIT Marketing and Partner legacy service support systems such as System Center Service Manager, Ops Light - a proprietary asset management system and Keynote Data feeds

•      Technical SME and contact on migration of our legacy monitoring tooling to Service Now including integration points, Alerting and Keynote

•      Assist on creation of Custom System Center Operations Manager Management packs for application and service instrumentation

•      Active engagement with SDO to enable MSIT to support PHX in partnership with MPSIT and ESSIT

•      Participation as developer and SME on our MSIT Service Telemetry project in driving how we get the data out and use the data from telemetry including:

o      Service Desk

o      Customer Experience

o      Asimov

o      Azure (Ops Insight – App Insight)

Minimum Requirements:

•      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•      Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Online Service Technologies: Azure, Windows Operating systems, SQL, .NET Framework, IIS,   and their interoperability

•      Experience and knowledge of C#, PowerShell etc. languages

•      Experience building Online Service Monitoring solutions at Enterprise Scale

•      Ability to balance going after the right level of data vs. storing everything to ensure high quality health monitoring at scale

•      Ability to develop SCOM custom management packs

•      BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Security or other technical field.

Desired Skills and Experience:

•      Good understanding of SCOM as an Online or LOB service health monitoring solution

•      Knowledge of System Center Service Manager

•      Knowledge of Telemetry solutions such as Azimov, Xpert, Scope, HD Insight, etc…

Job Description:
We are seeking a self-motivated and technically oriented individual with electrical/electronic education and/or experience for the position of Field Service Technician/Installer. Individual must be familiar with reading circuit diagrams and various electronic trouble-shooting techniques, and have an aptitude for computer operations. Applicants must have excellent communication skills as they will be required to teach the operation of instruments to users. While being familiar with networks, having refrigeration experience, and a chemistry background would be helpful, these skills are not a requirement. For this position, approximately 50%-80% of time will be spent travelling throughout the United States and all travel expenses are reimbursed. Come join the Microsoft Dynamics Compliance Program and become engaged with the fast moving and expanding world of cloud services.   The Dynamics Compliance Program supports multiple services including Microsoft CRM Online, Microsoft Dynamics Marketing and many other services.   In this role you will be involved in governance, risk and compliance initiatives across the services working with teams on an international level.

You’ll work with subject matter experts (SMEs) from multiple services to help define and deliver on the compliance needs required to operate our Online service. You will also have direct impact on the customer in this role by working to tell the compliance story of our services in sales pursuits. This includes creating and managing internal and external resources to help educate our customers and sellers on our world class compliance stack.   You will be involved in reviewing product and service capabilities to help guide the team in ways to achieve and sustain compliance status with different standards/certifications. The position also has multiple opportunities to work with teams outside of Dynamics and Microsoft, this includes Internal/External auditors, Other Services groups (O365 and Azure) and corporate teams such as OSSC, TWC and LCA.

The Ideal Candidate  

A successful candidate will have strong technology, communication and project management skills that will enable you to work with multiple organizations in completing projects independently.   You will also work with a team of other compliance and security individuals to drive to a common goal of a world class governance, risk and compliance organization for the Dynamics organization.

Excellent communication is paramount for this role. You will be managing both internal and external communications and educating people about what the Dynamics compliance plan offers.   This can include white papers, RFP (request for proposal) guides, keeping communications (web sites and status updates) current and developing PowerPoints to help deliver our message.

You will also work with multiple services and apply your compliance expertise to help teams put in place and maintain appropriate controls in order to meet compliance and security requirements. This includes helping teams identify and remediate gaps and evaluating controls as they apply to the individual services. This will also include managing both internal and external audits to keep our current certifications and accreditations.

Basic Qualifications:

3 + years of Security and/or Compliance Program experience (Internal or External Audit)

A BS/BA in Information Systems, Business or related field or the equivalent experience

Other Qualifications:

Familiarity with security compliance and regulatory frameworks- examples: ISO27001, PCI DSS, FedRAMP, Privacy, FISMA, NIST, CFR 42 (HIPPA) etc.

Strong project management skills for managing multiple concurrent deliverables/audits/certifications

Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate requirements to executives and to control owners

A passion for communicating with end user, Customer, Partner, and Field communities

The ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment

A solid track record of achieving success through teamwork and collaboration, influencing without authority, resolving conflict, and measuring results.

CISA, CISSP and other compliance/security related certifications are a plus

We seek a Service Engineering lead that has experience operating a large scale, cloud based service. The Service Engineering lead will manage a team of service engineers to provide Incident Management Infrastructure, Problem Management Infrastructure and Service Capacity Management.

Responsibilities:

•      Develop and implement a capacity management program to maximize elasticity for our customers while minimizing our operating costs

•      Continue to improve our ability to respond to Live Site incidents quickly and efficiently

•      Introduce data driven methodologies to identify Live Site incident trends, causality and drive mitigation prioritization.

•      Collaborate with engineering teams to drive operational improvements into the deployment, reliability, and cost of the service.

•      Manage a team Service Engineers

•      Oversee device labs, administer budgets and direct vendor staff

•      Partner with leadership across the organization to building a devops culture within the organization

Requirements/Qualifications and Previous Work and Related Experience (including educational requirements):

•      5+ years experience designing, operating or implementing cloud service and/or IT infrastructure

•      3+ years experience leading technical teams

•      Proven track record of implementing and operating large scale, mission critical, customer facing services

•      Hands-on experience provisioning, monitoring and maintaining Azure based cloud services

•      Proficient with feedback and metrics collection techniques

•      Completed at least 1 ship cycle

•      Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast paced and changing environment.

•      Excellent written and oral communication skills

•      Leadership skills: Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision making skills.

The Customer Service Representative I position has frequent contact with the City's utility customers by phone and through counter duty resolving customer inquiries and/or complaints. This position performs general clerical and accounting functions that applies basic principles of accounting in support of accounting systems for assigned areas of functions such as accounts receivable, cash receipts, and collections.

Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operations, technical, or office processes; level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency.

A Water Service Representative visits owner-occupied properties with delinquent water service accounts to receive payment or terminate service. Reports to the Customer/FOG Services Manager. Incumbent in this job classification may also be trained in performing the duties of a Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) Compliance Inspector.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Read and effectively use city and county maps to plan efficient driving routes.

Receive payment for metered water charges or terminate water service at owner-occupied properties.

Use a hand-held computer device and electronic credit card reader to effectively and efficiently complete assigned duties.

Renew water service after delinquent accounts have been paid.

As needed, will be assigned to conduct inspections of food service establishments to ensure grease interceptors are constructed, installed and performing correctly.

Ensure Food Service Establishments that discharge wastewater into an ECUA wastewater facility comply with the terms and conditions of the Grease Abatement Ordinance.

With tact and courtesy address the public and maintain composure in difficult and/or stressful situations.

Report evidence of water theft or meter tampering to the supervisor.

All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED or equivalent. (Educational documentation will be requested upon offer of employment.)

Two years of customer service work experience.

Basic level experience using computers.

Proficiency in Spanish is desirable, but not required.

Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Testing for reading comprehension and basic workplace math calculations may be administered prior to an interview and/or job offer.

Licenses and Certifications:
Possession of or ability to obtain a Florida Driver License upon offer of employment.

ECUA will obtain a motor vehicle record of selected candidate(s) prior to employment. Candidate with 6 or more points and/or 2 moving violations within 3 years will not be eligible for a driving position with the ECUA.
