Within Corporate Finance, the Finance BI Services (FBIS) team serves as a corporate center for measuring, monitoring and reporting on business performance to drive actionable insights and guide management decisions across all of our businesses. In FBIS, we are looking for a Program Manager to join our team to influence how we plan and deliver BI solutions and services to enable enterprise class BI experiences for our finance stakeholders (CAA, CFP&A and SMSG).
As our planning service process owner for the FBIS team, the Program Manager will design, implement and continuously improve our team planning and prioritization practice and processes. The Project Manager will also lead specific Finance programs and will work with subject matter experts to analyze and rationalize business needs and will partner with IT and BI delivery teams to provide management reporting and business performance solutions including P/L, balance sheet, scorecards, key measurements and revenue.
The ideal candidate for this role must be partnership focused which requires active listening, curiosity, and integrity and should also have a blend of business and technical experience including a passion for BI, reporting and analytics. This role will be responsible for the following activities:
Process Excellence
Improve Speed of Delivery: Apply continuous improvement approaches to analyze, understand and change existing processes to optimize speed of delivery, quality and user experience.
Drive Predictability and Quality: Establish the appropriate framework to minimize variance between estimates and actual project outcomes.
Enable Others: Find ways to accomplish more by enabling others. Use an inclusive approach to stakeholder engagement, teamwork, and problem-solving by welcoming diverse points of view, leveraging the talent of others, and searching for new, holistic solutions.
Plan & Prioritize
Manage Intake: Manage, optimize and prioritize the intake for BI requests in alignment with the business strategies and priorities.
Develop and Evolve Roadmaps: Collaborate with other program managers and delivery partners to develop roadmaps that articulate capabilities and features for reporting services and solutions. Lead stakeholders to a shared vision on the roadmap that extends beyond the current funding horizon and leverages technological advantages to realize the long-term business strategy.
Plan of Record: Document and manage the formal plan of record including business outcomes, release plan, investment plan, and resource plan. Establish program and project governance to facilitate, track, log, and implement decisions.
Deliver
Project Management: Apply project management skills to manage scope, plan work, coordinate resource deployment on tasks, analyze risks/develop mitigation strategies and proactively identify and resolve issues. Facilitate and drive adherence across teams for execution of tasks, so that work products are delivered within expected timeframes.
Communication: Establish a communication framework with proper escalation channels to provide timely, consistent, audience-appropriate communication across stakeholder audiences. Provide leadership and perspective, and drive stakeholders to decisions in ambiguous situations.
Core job qualifications for this role include, but are not limited to:
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in finance, computer science, information management or related discipline and project/program management and 10+ years of experience. Certified Business Intelligence professional, Certified Public Accountant and/or master’s degree preferred.
Process Excellence: The ability to build frameworks that guide consistent decision making and allocation of resources which is a critically important element of prioritization.
Building Customer and Partner Relationships: Experienced in establishing and maturing relationships across multiple teams.
