Summary:

Premier provider of global institutional investment research, consulting, and investment advisory services, located in Venice, Florida, seeks a Business Analyst/Systems Analyst. This position reports directly to the Managing Director, Applications Development of the IT Department.

The key role is to understand the business process and business requirements of the Research teams and translate them to specific software requirements. You must have good documentation and methodology experience. The BA/SA must have strong technical skills coupled with Business Intelligence in the financial markets, securities and related data analytics industry, and the ability to quickly develop a deep understanding of customer's needs that can be transformed into technical application and operational requirements. Pro-active and dedicated work ethic a must. Strong desire to succeed in a challenging environment that often requires multitasking and frequently shifting priorities.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of demonstrable skills as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst with prior formal experience in the BA or SA role Minimum of 2 years experience working with custom developed applications (Java and/or C++ preferred) Experience working with financial markets, trading and securities data products a MUST Solid experience with the execution of BABOK (Business Analysis Body of Knowledge) practices and methodologies Ability to articulate and execute methods for requirements elicitations through JAD sessions, workshops, questionnaires, interviews, etc. Strong understanding of RUP, UML modelling techniques including use cases, sequence diagrams, class diagrams, etc. Strong understanding of User Experience/Usability methods as a component of developing system requirements Strong experience defining and implementing formal software development methodologies, requirements traceability, and change control Demonstrated experience in QA testing and debugging techniques Statistical background preferred Provide Project Management support for select smaller projects Communicate with system users to identify, explain, and resolve problems which cannot be solved by Tier 1 or Tier 2 support personnel Relational Database and Database Modeling experience Exceptional written and verbal communications skills

Education/Certification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related field; Master's degree preferred Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification preferred

This software house is the world leader in the provision of software systems to the music and entertainment industry. They are looking for an IT. professional experienced in managing the implementation of enterprise software in the Film or TV industry to join their expanding LA office.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The experience required for this role is as follows:

At least 5 years of commercial IT. Project Management experience where you were acting for an IT. service provider such as a systems integrator, software house or IT. consultancy, with end-user companies as your client, as opposed to solely internal project management. At least five years experience implementing enterprise software package solutions: software PRODUCTS as opposed to bespoke projects (for our definition of enterprise software ) . Previous experience in the Film or TV sector Experience of managing multiple projects at once, as opposed to sequential projects Previous experience in client-facing situations as well as strong customer service experience. Excellent communication skills; a high standard of oral and written English. Willingness to travel (up to 25%) throughout Europe and to the east coast of the US

The above experience is essential. You require all of the above experience in order for to be eligible for this role.

By enterprise software we mean any of:

ERP software like JD Edwards, Baan, Oracle Applications, PeopleSoft, SAP CRM Software Large financial systems B2C financial software Billing systems Banking systems

THE JOB:

This role is essentially 50% client-facing and 50% internal mentoring and management. You will be prioritising the scheduling of implementations, working cross-function or cross-department in order to achieve common company goals and then managing the end-to-end implementation of enterprise software.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Initially, you would be managing one product, and would then take over other product lines as you progress. You'd be working on what is the company's flagship product, currently the largest product in the US and soon to be the largest in the entire company. The career path here is to take over other product lines as you progress and move up. This is a direct line to senior management, cutting out the bureaucracy where you can make a real difference and impact on the products and company.

Overall, this is a great place to work - it's a privately-owned company and feels more like a family company, not at all institutionalised - everyone has a stake, everyone has a say. Being music, entertainment and film it's an interesting industry to work in too, with a wide range of clients both local and foreign.

Salary: $100,000 plus discretionary Bonus and benefits
