This position offers an opportunity to play an integral role in defining how we look at and think about the device marketplace as a whole ranging from core markets of smartphone, tablet and PC devices to other emerging categories.

This role requires:

• Passion and expertise in analyzing global and regional market dynamics and financials in order to drive meaningful insights about the economic and device market landscape

• Excitement about the end user device market and competitive dynamics in it

• Desire to guide decisions by providing the spectrum of information to envisioning to business leaders

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to partner and drive alignment at senior levels

• Planning and facilitating collaboration at senior levels including ensuring a connection and alignment between field and corporate initiatives

• Working closely with international partners to drive an understanding of the unique aspects of the technology evolution in developed and emerging markets

Responsibilities:

• Drive key forecasts for smart connected devices to help guide senior leaders and business partners on trends, expectations, and recommendations on key growth areas. Possesses a strong passion for understanding consumer device trends, business model disruptions, coevolution of hardware, software and silicon and competitive dynamics.

• Conduct deep analyses of competitors’ device portfolio, ranging from a quantitative understanding of their shipments and results to the analysis of their execution/financials, technology position, and key strategic trends. Be a thought leader on how the company should think about the evolution of device form factors, understanding the size and shape of the installed base of the device market.

• Collaborate with a broad range of partners (Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Strategy) to understand the overall financial story with focus on the big picture, root cause analysis, risks/opportunities and action.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate and/or perform business analysis of potential new business opportunities & scenarios. Offer guidance and support of this process through an in depth understanding of business fundamentals, competitive landscape, and implications on current strategy.

• Be a trusted advisor and thought leader, providing valued information, insights, and envisioning that help business leaders understand and act upon developments in the market. Educate business partners on tools, processes, policies, and reporting.

Experience:

• 6+ years of market intelligence, strategic planning, financial planning and relevant business experience ; preferably with prior work experience in high-tech and communications industries, management consulting, market research, investment banking, data sciences, or econometrics

• Robust statistical modeling/forecasting and quantitative analytical skills with experience supporting complex financial models and strategic decisions.

• Experience in statistical modeling techniques and data analytics preferred. Knowledge of Time Series Regression, Simulation Methods (e.g, Monte Carlo, Bootstrapping), Discrete Choice Models, other advanced analysis techniques preferred.

• Exceptional ability to translate complex data into a compelling narrative and insights

• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills; able to develop unique methods of analysis where traditional methods do not yield results

• Ability to partner and communicate effectively across and at all levels of the organization.

• Demonstrated ability to impact and influence business decisions in a highly distributed environment.

• Cross-group collaborator and influencer across teams and organizations with proven success in participating in cross-functional teams to deliver on key projects. Experience in leading virtual teams preferred.

• Self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously

• Advanced knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office required

Education:

• BA/BS in Math, Statistics, Finance, Economics or other quantitative fields required.

• Advanced degree in Finance, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, and/or Economics preferred

Primary accountabilities are:

  Develop and continuously evolve Microsoft’s strategy, by aligning with Product Marketing, Services and Partners to create a high value customer offering.

  Helping to lead Microsoft’s continuing transformation towards a greater consumption centric selling focus, focusing on strategies to assist sellers to more effectively engage with both technical and business decision makers to accelerate consumption and usage of cloud services

The role must be based from Redmond. WA due to the close day-to-day interaction with other Corporate and Product teams.   20 -25% international travel is required to maintain working relationships with subsidiaries and customers. MBA degree preferred.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The recruitment for this career ladder position will start at the GS 9 grade with promotion potential to a GS 11 grade. Exceptional performance at the GS 9 and the ability to show potential at the GS 11 must be demonstrated during the employee’s one year performance review in order for graduation from the GS 9 grade level to the GS 11 grade level to be granted.

The GS 9 position is a non-exempt position and the GS 11 position is an exempt position.

Duties for a GS 9/11 will be separated by a “/”. For example, “assist/manages” signifies that a GS 9 will “assist” with the duty in question, whereas a GS 11 would “manage” that particular duty. These shifts in duties will be signified in red.

SPECIFIC DESCRIPTION

This position is located in the Executive Secretariat (ES) which facilitates and expedites the decision-making process within USAID and serves as the channel of communication between the Office of the Administrator/Deputy Administrator and the Agency senior staff. The incumbent serves as a Correspondence Analyst responsible for providing support services in communications analysis, tracking, and quality control for the Administrator, Deputy Administrator, and other designated Senior Staff.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the/Responsible for emailing the event information, with all pertinent background, to ES for assignment.Serves as the point person for receipt and appropriate disposition of all electronic briefing material, as well as for the daily talking points required for the Secretary of State’s morning meeting. Serves as the liaison for National Security Council’s Principal and Deputy Committee meetings. Assists with/prepares a technical review of USAID-related correspondence prepared for signature of organization executives to assure consistency with agency procedures on completeness, timeliness and format standards. Provides assistance to staff to ensure that the tailored responses to inquiries from agency clients or interest groups on special matters are appropriate and in compliance with executive preferences and policies. Ensures that background and supporting information is provided in correspondence package. Provides/Manages correspondence services for an organization with a mission that affects a wide range of operations in other agencies, a large segment of the public, or the business community. As necessary, coordinates with a variety of individuals inside and/or outside of the organization to determine the appropriate person for responding to incoming correspondence, based on personal knowledge of organizational programs, priorities, goals, and objectives. Assist in assigning/Assigns action responsibility to the appropriate bureau or independent office for the preparation of the (full) response, designating the information and coordinating offices and bureaus. Establishes a due date for final reply, taking into account the degree of urgency, the estimated time required for collecting the necessary information and drafting/clearing the response. Provides the action organization any special instructions deemed necessary for completion of the assignment. Monitors preparation of the final reply to assure that the established deadlines are met. Provides assistance regarding substance, format, style, clearances and negotiates submission deadline changes, as appropriate. Reviews outgoing correspondence prepared for signature by the Administrator, Deputy Administrator, or other designated USAID official. Ensures that the proposed outgoing reply (1) is responsive to the questions or issues raised in the incoming correspondence; (2) adheres to Agency policies; (3) is clearly and concisely written in a style and tone deemed acceptable for the signing official; and (4) has been properly cleared throughout the Agency. * Ensures that basic tracking and status information are input into the Agency Correspondence Tracking System, that overdue and problem cases are brought to the attention of the supervisor, that required records are kept, and that copies of actions are properly distributed to concerned officials and to the daily logs maintained for selected Senior Staff.

We are the Consumer Data and Analytics team focused on advanced data mining and data capabilities impacting Microsoft’s consumer product and marketing efforts. We are looking for an experienced Technical Data Analyst who is passionate to work with and analyze big data to drive insights across complex business questions. We have petabytes of data being collected and we convert data into insights, and drive enhanced customer experience and improved business performance by enabling data-driven decisions.  

Job Description:

The ideal candidate should be self-directed, passionate about data, and focused on delivering the right results. The candidate should be able to apply programming acumen and a breadth of tools, data sources and analytical techniques to answer a wide range of high-impact business questions and present the insights in a concise and effective manner. Technical aptitude and programming skills are necessary in this role. The candidate should also be an effective communicator capable of independently driving issues to resolution and communicating insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. The role requires incubating, developing, testing and iteratively improving on BI capabilities to understand the product(s) in depth so as to provide key insights to shape product and marketing actions, thereby improving customer experience and usage of the product(s).

  Build a holistic understanding of our product features, its customer, the BI data infrastructure & environment, and business goals

  Develop powerful visualization on customer behavior and usage and become SMEs for the product(s)

  Analyze and validate data using statistical tools to answer product and business questions, to drive product and marketing actions

The Senior IT End User Computing Analyst defines standards to support desktop, mobile and peripheral devices. Creates Desktop and mobile Architecture for System Hardwar (DASH). Participates in the strategy of the End User Computing department. Monitors the quality of installation, maintenance, support and enhancements to the global ICU Medical, Inc. Desktop and mobile infrastructure. Defines and creates documentation to keep an up to date inventory and refresh cycles of devices and their software. This position supports the functions which contribute to the continued operation of ICU Medical Inc. Information Technologies (IT) department including Desktop Imaging, break-fix, new product installation, patch deployment, first and second level phone support, procurement, daily maintenance, and reporting.

Job Assignments:
Directs the maintenance and support of in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. Includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. Creates procedures to monitor and troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate manner, and to provide end user training and assistance where required. Creates procedures to install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end user workstation software and networking software products. Defines requirements for the creation of processes, procedures, policies, and standards as it relates to imaging, patch deployments and upgrades. Research recommends selection of desktop management software and hardware products. Monitors desktop performance, desktop issues, and emergency and scheduled maintenance. Creates and defines information for the monthly status reports for projects progress, open items, and issues. Monitors to ensure the status and resolution of issues pertained to the End User Computing team are updated in the Service Desk software with resolutions and status. Ensures the Information Systems staff and customers are informed at all times. Provides support to service desk relating to desktop administration issues. Monitors implementation of new standards and/or the modification of existing standards to ensure the quality of service are no impacted. Directs team to ensure desktops configurations are providing high performance through monitoring/tuning of systems. Directs team to ensure they are following the established standards for writing and documenting desktop configurations Defines desktop system upgrades and the management of software patches schedules. Participates in the strategy of the Disaster Recovery procedures as it relates to End User Computing devices and management. Performs all job related responsibilities with minimal management direction and guidance. Participates with system administrators to maintain and enhance the global desktop using Incident Management processes Creates standard operating procedures for securing desktop systems, this includes password maintenance, new user logon and setup, and data protection procedures Defines accurate plans of scheduled downtimes to minimize impact on users. Creates SOPs for quick problem resolution for unscheduled downtimes. Creates procedures to coordinate with user community scheduling times and user procedures necessary for desktop system upgrades and/or maintenance. This includes password maintenance, new user logon and setup, file access permissions, and data protection procedures. Participates in strategic initiatives by performing technical project activities. Position will require participation in 24/7 department on-call program. Position may require travel between various ICU Medical Inc. locations. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related IT field, or four years’ experience in desktop deployment and administration in an enterprise desktop environment. Practical experience in desktop technologies and products from HP and Apple. Working knowledge in supporting Microsoft enterprise solutions and troubleshooting desktop issues. Microsoft certification preferred. Practical experience in deploying, maintaining desktop systems in global environments. Practical experience in testing business continuity and disaster recovery practices. Experience in writing automation scripts with for imaging and deploying desktop systems.
