Maintains appearance of clubhouse grounds and surrounding areas by planning and managing landscape features.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Landscape Gardener I in the plan and design of landscape features and flowerbeds throughout the grounds Install and maintain landscape features utilizing fertilization, irrigation and mowing techniques Operate and maintain irrigation, mowing, fertilizer and chemical application equipment, following company safety standards and manufacturer’s recommendations Maintain appearance of the grounds by removing trash and debris from parking lots, sidewalks and entrance road Communicate potential problems by informing manager of any agronomic or maintenance equipment issues Generally scheduled on a part-time, seasonal or contingent basis
Additional Responsibilities: Implement and support all AGC initiatives and programs as requested by management
Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements: Specialty/Technical training required (2-year college degree preferred) and 2 years of related experience in horticulture or related science, or equivalent combination of education and experience Pesticide applicator license required Valid driver’s license required Ability to operate the following equipment required: mower, line trimmers, edgers, sprayer, tiller, chain saw, demo saw, spreaders, leaf blower/vacuum, golf cart, dump truck Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management Knowledge of fertilizer/chemical equipment calibration preferred
