As an Enterprise Architect, in this strategic role within Enterprise Strategy Services, you will deliver advisory and planning services to Microsoft’s top enterprise customers, enabling our customers to achieve their most challenging business and organizational goals while leveraging value from their investment in the Microsoft Platform. Through a programmatic approach and objective assessment of the customer’s existing business imperatives, organizational capabilities and IT investments, you will systematically plan, orchestrate, and contribute to the development and execution of their strategic technology initiatives.

With IT sponsorship, you’ll develop relationships with key business executives, enabling the customer to translate business needs and insights into actionable IT strategy, and assist IT in driving these initiatives to early results and business value.

You will also share industry-proven architectural and planning practices and promote successful integration of Microsoft technologies in a heterogeneous environment. You’ll be provided an extensive network of professional colleagues with complementary competencies and expertise, bringing the best of Microsoft to customers.

The sections below identify the key areas of focus and offer insight into the more common activities:

Relationship-driven differentiation: As the primary delivery resource for the Enterprise Strategy business, what you provide is unique and available only from Microsoft. You’ll advocate on behalf of the customer back into the Microsoft organization and maximize the value delivered from the relationship. Core activities include:

• Orchestrating Executive Briefing Center visits and bi-directional connection with Microsoft Product Development Groups as well as many other teams and communities.

• Facilitating the Customer’s uptake of Technology Adoption Programs for early advantage from pre-released Microsoft Products.

• Harnessing insights from groups like Microsoft Research, one of the largest sponsored technology research organizations worldwide. You’ll also have access to ‘the Library’, a catalogue of reference architectures, industry insights and field-driven Intellectual Property, providing exceptional and unique value to the customer.

• Partnering with your CTO/CIO and facilitating IT staff development amongst their reports.

Business-driven portfolio value management: A disciplined approach is followed in this role - first to understand the customer’s needs and then to develop roadmaps that result in an increase in realized value from their Microsoft investment across a heterogeneous IT environment. Activities include:

• Creating business case development and benefits management programs that define, track and report accrued value through the optimal application of IT to business challenges.

• Orchestrating and/or designing and architecting solutions that leverage both the investment made in the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement and the customer’s current heterogeneous IT environment in the best interests of the customer, driven through a formal program of change and drawing from the collective know-how of Microsoft.

• Providing portfolio governance and oversight to drive lifecycle optimization and alignment across all Microsoft-related initiatives.

Teaming to accelerate value: When a customer invests in an Enterprise Agreement license with Microsoft, the Enterprise Architect accelerates the time-to-value by aligning the technology deployment and business adoption plans with the customer’s broader organizational objectives. Activities to support this objective include:

• Creating architectural and technology roadmaps that result in stronger business/IT alignment and that drive adoption and value from the Enterprise Agreement.

• Orchestrating the use of the Microsoft network of resources formally from within the Architect’s individual engagement. This can range from formal architectural systems design through to general technology consulting and beyond. Likewise an Architect may be called on by colleagues to contribute from their area of specialization in other large engagements or to work jointly with the Microsoft support team around specific customer initiatives.

Practice development: In this role, you’ll contribute to the growth and maturity of the local and international communities by providing mentorship, fostering IP development / knowledge transfer, and thought-leading by example. In addition, opportunities exist to contribute to IP development and reuse initiatives and drive proven practices in architecture, planning, and customer relationships.

Business development: You will also have the opportunity to bring your years of experience and expertise to influence continued business development opportunities for Microsoft.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•      Drive new merchandizing offers and scenarios for Xbox Video movie and TV content:

o      Drive requirements and end-to-end solutions for new video content merchandizing scenarios across all of our partner dependencies (Xbox Commerce teams, Paris content ingestion and services teams, Business, Marketing, etc.)

o      Program manage the design and implementation efforts of new merchandizing scenarios in console client applications (Xbox 360 and Xbox One)

o      Coordinate the implementation with other client applications (Windows, Mobile, and Web) as well as across content types (e.g. applications, games, music, and store) where it makes sense

•      Partner with Windows/Windows Phone teams in the planning and implementation of future store and catalog experiences:

o      Partner with Windows/Windows Phone Video and Music teams, Xbox Commerce teams, Paris content ingestion and services teams, and purchase flow UX teams to input console requirements and feedback as they settle on their plans and implementations of future store and catalog experiences (e.g. schema designs, API calling patterns, programming requirements, UX designs, etc.)

o      Ensure that all scenarios across existing client applications continue to work seamlessly during the implementation of new features and systems

•      Drive planning and implementation of future Windows/Windows Phone store and catalog experiences into Xbox Video and Music console applications:

o      Drive the creation and execution of a plan to synchronize Xbox Video on 360 and Xbox One with future store and catalog experiences and APIs, including partnering with Xbox platform teams owning the purchase flows and other dependent platform components to update as needed

o      Evaluate and create a plan for Xbox Music on 360 and Xbox One, in relation to future store and catalog experiences and APIs

o      Partner with Xbox Shell team to design and execute future purchase and consumption experiences for Xbox Video and Music client applications

o      Coordinate these plans with our partners in Business, Business Development, and Marketing

•      Drive troubleshooting of consumer and system issues around existing offers in Xbox Video and Music clients on console:

o      Act as point person to investigate and resolve customer merchandising, authentication, and licensing issues with existing Xbox Video and Music clients on Xbox 360 and Xbox One

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

•      Develop strategy for maximizing consumer impact while reaching overall Xbox Video goals

•      Run product and service definition to support strategy

•      Design your product and service in partnership with Xbox Video and Music design and engineering teams

•      Manage the end-to-end customer lifecycle

•      Serve as senior sponsor/owner for assigned consumer facing video focus area Initiatives, owning the why and what of your features and coordinate the how with engineering teams

•      Develop a positive team environment by modeling your own behavior to promote good morale

•      Serves as a mentor for other PMs and provide insight into growth opportunities for PMs that want to broaden their skill sets and develop their careers

•      Work closely with Finance and the Xbox Video Business team to feed into, understand, and manage to budget

•      Determine early any required OPEX/Product Development to support product and service development and operations that are new to the product. Make the business case for, and then manage to, any of these new budget requirements. Feed these into the annual budgeting process, and actively drive the requests when out of band of the annual process

•      Stand up as the final and ultimately accountable owner for your owned features

QUALIFICATIONS:

•      7+ years of Program Management experience, including strong partner management and communication skills with deep experience working with external and internal partners

•      At least 5 years of technical industry experience, managing complex UI and/or Engineering teams with proven success on at least two high-quality consumer products or experiences

•      Experience with financial planning (budgets, trends, projections, or analysis) over at least 2 fiscal years

•      Demonstrable creativity, ability to strategically think, and a high tolerance for ambiguity

•      Excellent organizational, communication and cross-collaboration skills, with experience working in highly-matrixed organizations preferred

The Premier Field Engineer role is relationship based as well as technical, typically engaging with a small set of Premier customers for the life of their Premier contract as subject matter experts on Microsoft technologies. The PFE proactively engages with customers, targeting the sustainability, maintainability, and return on investment of the Microsoft infrastructure. This role will require you to accumulate, maintain, and demonstrate technical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and related Microsoft products. You will apply this knowledge to each customer through proactive and preventative work to promote organizational health and reduce risk at their site. This role requires the ability to acknowledge opportunities and solve real world customer business problems by leveraging Microsoft Business Solutions Applications and technologies. Strong product knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX is required; communication and customer relations skills are needed to complement product and technical knowledge.

Minimum Requirements: Solid understanding of client/server, networking, and business application technologies fundamentals. Candidate must possess strong knowledge and demonstrated technical proficiency in Windows Server and Microsoft client products, SQL Server, and Dynamics AX. In addition, the successful candidate must possess a specialization in Dynamics AX application, technology or development area.   Five or more years of experience in systems development, network operations, and software support or I.T. consulting or five or more year’s industry experience with Microsoft products are required. Effective learning skills, ability to work well in a team environment and strong problem-solving skills are also critical to success in the role.

Goal: To provide high quality technical support reactively and proactively to a designated set of strategic Microsoft customers.

Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include providing on-site and remote technical support solutions for customer service delivery and availability, while ensuring satisfaction with Microsoft software. The successful candidate will be capable of providing field technical support and proactive service presence for groups in the Microsoft Services organization, including but not limited to Premier and Professional Support, Microsoft Consulting Services, and escalation engineers. The Premier Field Engineer acts as the primary technical contact, providing customer visibility, advanced technical troubleshooting support and problem resolution for corporate customers, including issues escalated to the highest levels of management. Overnight travel is required. Travel requirements vary regionally and could be as much as 40-70%. Candidates must possess current passport or be able to obtain passport within 90 days of hire. They must be available for travel dispatch 24x7x365. The candidate should already have current US work authorization, live within US and be willing to relocate. Remote candidates will not be considered.

Qualifications: 4 year technical degree or equivalent work experience, 5+ years customer experience. Ideal candidate would have 2+ years’ experience with the Microsoft Dynamics AX product. MCSE strongly preferred, but not required at hire. The Digital Channel Manager role is part of the Digital Channel Operations team under the Customer Logistics organization within MSC (Microsoft Supply Chain).

Role Description:

Our strategy is to enable end-consumers to purchase Microsoft products where, when, and how they want to buy. We manage the channel side of the digital services pipeline (software delivery) enjoyed by millions of people whether they are buying Xbox LIVE products or Office or Windows. This is all done through Microsoft’s extensive retail and e-distributor ecosystem worldwide.

Channel Managers (CM) need to be skilled at managing external and internal channel customer relationships.   The CM focuses on managing the launch of digital distribution partnerships to enable channel partners to distribute Microsoft products via ESD (Electronic Software Distribution) or POSA (Point of Sale Activation) as well as the ongoing support of existing partners.

The Channel Manager is always looking to innovate and evolve the business. CM’s must be able to analyze existing processes, capabilities and structures while reconciling them against growing market trends, demands and anticipated changes. The CM must balance the needs of expanding the business with driving the right business efficiencies to enable growth and scale.

Top Challenges:

1. Ensuring a reliable digital supply chain.

The Channel Manager is deadline driven to ensure that partner launches and product releases flow through the supply chain reliably and are delivered on time.

2. Ensuring quality in the ecosystem

The Channel Manager is extremely passionate about quality as it relates to process and systems. If there are any problems, the Channel manager is on point to troubleshoot the issues until closure, to establish the root cause, and to put preventative measures in place. Qualifications:

-   Four-year college degree in business, supply chain, computer science or related experience.  

-   4-7 years’ experience in supply chain, project management, business operations, or service operations, preferably in a digital product environment with proven process improvements and program/operations management abilities.  

-   Process oriented, meticulous and excellent communication is a must.  

-   Knowledge of, experience in and passion for the entertainment and productivity industry is also desirable.  

-   Project management education/certification (such as PMI) is a plus.

-   Fluency in additional languages (Spanish, Portuguese) is also a plus.

-   Consistent track record for delivery against tight timelines with constrained resources

-   Strong written and oral communications skills at all levels including executive audience

Primary responsibilities include providing on-site technical support solutions for customer service delivery and availability, while ensuring satisfaction with Microsoft software on the exchange client and server. The successful candidate will be capable of providing field technical support presence for groups in the Microsoft Services organization, including but not limited to Premier and Professional Support, Microsoft Consulting Services, and escalation engineers. The Premier Field Engineer acts as the primary onsite technical contact, providing customer visibility, advanced technical troubleshooting support and problem resolution for Product Support Services and corporate customers, including issues escalated to the highest levels of management.

Technical Requirements:   Solid understanding of Microsoft System Center 2012 components with a strong focus on Service Manager and how it integrates with the other Suite components. Candidate will need significant client/server skills, networking, and Internet fundamentals and a superior knowledge and demonstrated technical proficiency in System Center Service Manager with experience in managing medium to large environments.   The candidate should be able to advise on best practices, deploy, configure and troubleshoot all aspects of SCSM effectively and understand the product configuration, flow and logging in detail.   The candidate should also understand the configuration required in order to connect and integrate products such as Operations Manager, Configuration Manager, Orchestrator, Active Directory and SharePoint (Self-service Portal) with Service Manager.   In addition, experience with Service Manager Authoring, in combination with Designing and integrating with runbooks in Orchestrator is desired.   An understanding of MOF and ITIL basics and how Service Manager supports these processes is also desired. Experience and familiarity with other IT service management products is a plus.

Knowledge/understanding of the following would be advantageous:

-   Superior Project/Timeline (Consumer Electronics Integrated Project Management) adherence experiences.

-   Expertise in Supply Chain Operation’s flexibility/capacity to articulate appropriate contractual T&Cs and costs.  

-   Contract and price negotiations excellence

-   Deliver best in class TCO (Total-Cost-Ownership), COS (Continuity-Of-Supply), and BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP

Education/Other Requirements:
