Receptionist / Administrator required for a construction firm based in central Birmingham. Great role that offers a mix of front of house duties as well as administration support.

Daily responsibilities will include -

Respond for all incoming telephone calls
Meeting and Greeting - Check visitors needs and respond
Distribute visitors passes as necessary to adhere to Health, Safety and Security Procedures
Provide assistance to other team members to manage workloads as required
Book meeting rooms and manage meeting room diary
Organise meetings as requested. Co-ordinate bookings, arrange refreshments, equipment etc
Assist with coordinating requirements for special events and functions
Direct visitors queries to the appropriate and relevant person
Providing transport assistance, taxi services etc
Assess workloads and prioritise:
* Routine tasks
* Additional tasks
Assist with wayfinding and disseminate information
Ensure areas comply with OH&S guidelines
Monitor work environment and report any faults and problems requiring action, including lighting etc
Record staff movements and distribute weekly spreadsheet
Support the business operations by providing administrative, clerical and general assistance
Support the admin team with typing of correspondence, reports, letters, schedules, forms etc
Assist staff with all AV equipment including setting up of videoconferences, teleconferences
Maintain all waiting areas
Receive and direct all incoming mail
Regulate the build up of mail in company pigeon holes
Send outgoing mail
Complete any other tasks as and when required

The successful candidate will be responsible for answering all switchboard phone calls and providing service to all incoming visitors. Knowledge: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience with a multiple line busy switchboard. Skills: Strong communication skills. Stong customer service and organizational skills. Basic computer literacy and ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute. Professional telephone manner. Abilities: Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments. Ability to listen to customers (e.g. students, staff, etc.) and to understand and respond positively to their requests. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
