# Job Posting Murphy USA Events Manager: As the Events Manager for Murphy USA, you will be expected to formulate, plan, communicate, execute and manage the administration of and logistics and budgets for a variety of company events each year including but not limited to Board/Annual Shareholders events, manager meetings, trade shows, public/community events, store/field/customer events, presentations, internal engagement events and incentive award programs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Gathers and analyzes information on each project to achieve quality events by identifying creative solutions and negotiating costs to reduce expenditures while maximizing event quality.

• Conducts research, performs site inspections and finds resources to help make decisions about event functions.

• Negotiates hotel/venue, contracts and booking event space, arranging food and beverage through BEOs, ordering supplies and audiovisual equipment, ordering event signage, ensuring appropriate event decor, preparing and modifying event contracts and all correspondence from volunteers to the executive leadership team.

• Make and track travel arrangements.

• Prepare and maintain budget.

Provide progress reports to project stakeholders in addition to tracking event finances including check requests, invoicing, vendor sponsorships and reporting.

• Identify and manage vendor sponsors for each event.

Act as liaison with vendors on event-related matters and reimbursements.

Assist with managing on-site production and clean ups.

• Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process.

• Represents the organization at internal and external public events in a professional, intelligent manner, in both prepared and impromptu formats for groups ranging from 1 to 2,0 attendees.

• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.Education and Experience Requirements: * Bachelors degree in related field plus five years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Two of the years of experience must be in management.

• Must possess excellent communications skills and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels in the organization and outside the organization.

• CMP Certified Meeting Professional Preferred.

• Excellent computer skills to include MS Office Suite of products.
